Gauging Interest: Custom Army Swap. Has it ever been done here?

I would be very eager to do this swap too.  I might have to switch my army ideas though...would it be a problem to have several ideas for our partners so they don't get stuck with just one (I'm a donkey pose, fluttershy loving, snuzzle and roseluck and several other pony loving monster who'd like to start several armies)  *cough*  also happen to have an issue with about 9 nibbles and dibbles...  o.o

AJ/Apple family by accident.  Got an AJ custom in a swap, daughter says the Apple Delights are AJ's parents. 
Sitting pose because I love that pose.  It's a tiny army thus far.    Hope to add customs to that.  That's how mine came about.  Generally it's a pony/pose that you love/is special to you.  Sometimes by accident, you wake up and realize that you have 6 Pinkies and decide you need all versions of her as well as rehairs and customs.

How did you all decide what pony was going to become an army?

Sometimes it's accidental, I seem to just accumulate G1 unicorns. It could be that I'm trying to upgrade and can't let go of the other one, or I get a duplicate pony in a lot with thick glitter, or I notice there is a small difference in paint colour... or in the case of Twilight, she always got lost in the mail and I kept trying to replace her, and I then was given multiples of her.
Other times I just fixate on a particular type of pony and MUST HAVE THEM ALL. I can't get enough of ponies with glittery transparent bodies whether they are Sparkle ponies, Divine Shines or fakies.  They're particularly interesting because of differences in batch plastics, discoloration, and varying amounts of glitter.

i would be interested in this one, tho it depends on when its starting and the working time. im full up on swaps right now but two of my 3 end this month and the third is a short swap, so i might make it in if it doesnt start too soon. i have a couple ponies im especially fond of and one small Fizzy army that im keen to build up a bit. (working on a BnG fizzy for myself now =D)

Sounds fun! I'd be in depending on when it is. Gen-swapping customs are my favorite kind, and I seem to be unintentionally starting a Dancing Butterflies and G4 Rainbow Dash army of darkness.

Ooh that's a good idea...we could also consider doing alt. colored of the army pony...so a blue coton candy instead of pink, etc...or in different types, eg Gusty to a Peg or Mermaid?  Just tossing some other fun ideas out there.  =]
