I got both Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, I don't have the heart to take them out of their packaging. I might get a second pair to unbox...

You guys notice a lot of the newer packages use a bit of soft red rope instead of the hard twist ties? I love it!  ^.^

  yes I like that rope material, I kept a lot of it from many different packages and made a long string with it for my plants to use as a guide and climb over the fence :)
i hate to trash stuff that can be reused :)

 I still might touch up a few small things and I'm still deciding if I want to spray the painted areas with a matte sealer but I'm mostly happy with how she turned out ^^ I think I might try a Rainbow Dash now if I can still find one.
So we've got a few people who have colored their Fluttershy's now, no one has done a RD yet?

I think a lot of painted show accurate RD is going to take a bit longer to paint... that rainbow mane and tail!  :blink:

I like these better than the Funko ponies. I'm still split on Funko since they are going to have some ponies like Drama Pony and Dr. Whooves.

lol I'm amused that everyone so far has gone for Fluttershy and no one attempted RD yet!

I would love to buy a bunch of these and customize them but gah... at $15 a pop I can't justify that just yet. I can't even bring myself to shell out $30 for two RD's... one to keep in box and one to attempt to paint.

It looks like the finished result will be really similar to the Funko vinyl sets that are appearing, so that is keeping me from reaching into my wallet and shelling out to buy them lol. I will pick up at least one RD eventually, for my Dash collection, but dunno if I will leave it boxed or take it out to paint!

I agree Dash looks positively radiant ; ) i saw these in my walmart about a week ago and was surprised we had them so early since we usually get ponies much much later than our U.S friends. There were only four or five of them. Anyway I grabbef R.D because she is just way too cute. I love how she feels all smooth. I was thinking if i coloured her that I would get a bunch of sharpies becsuse they are permanent and have so many colours to choose from. I love hoe she looks naked as well so was super excited to learn I could get those ugly black marks off of her.

Sharpies tend to get discolored, and it doesn't take long for them to do so. It's best to use some kind of paint on these. :)
