Just remember, if you go out tomorrow and have too much fun, AAA is offering free rides home from 6pm-6am. Call 1-800-CAR-HELP [or just 1-800-227-4357] and they will take you and your car home for free.

I can't agree more. One of my biggest pet hates is drink driving, I had a friend of mine killed by a drink driver, she was only 17, he was so drunk he could barely stand up. He took someone elses life for being a selfish twizzle, now her family has to live with her loss, and he gets to keep his life. It isn't fair.

Just think - even if you have just a "few", what would happen if you ran into a car carrying a family or children? How would YOU deal with knowing you were the sole cause of their deaths due to your own selfishness and stupidity?

Please, either stay at home, have a designated driver or call for a taxi or take public transport.

No problem. I like that they tow your car, too. I've heard that as an excuse people use not to call a cab, so this eliminates all reasons to not be responsible.

Luckily I'm having a sleepover tomorrow.  But yes - DO NOT drink and drive.  Designate a driver, take a cab, stay somewhere, or do the AAA thing if it's available!

I'm going to the 9PM fireworks downtown and then doing all my drinking at home with the hubby and my sister, who is ringing in 2013 with us.

I know that here, one of the big-name DUI lawyers will pay your taxi bill up to $60 if you've been out partying.

On New Years Eve, we are celebrating my fiancee's birthday (he was born 30 minutes before the ball drop). The people comming know that if they drink, they are going to be bunking it up at my house (since the guests are comming from at least an hour and a half away.) I will provide pillows, blankets, buckets (if neccessary) and coffee. I have had too many close people to me go due to alcohol-related deaths, i'm not going to lose another person to it when I know that I can prevent drunk driving from even happening.

kind of sad to personally see things like this. I lost what I would concider a family member that way (she was my next door neighbours cousin--between my borther, me, her and my 2 next door neighbours, the 5 of us were within 2 years apart and all grew up together).

Just stay safe guys <3
