Since we celebrate Christmas today (on Christmas Eve - yeh I know we're odd

) I just wanna say Merry Christmas to all Swedish members today

You may want to edit your title--its not just the Sweedish that celebrate today hun. I think it may be a European thing, atleast the Germans do as well

Well as far as I knew while posting this it was only the Swedish people who celebrate it today. My mum told me later that the folks in Finland and Norway celebrate it today aswell however not the Danish

And I know the British and Bulgarians celebrate it tomorrow and figured most of Europe do aswell. It's all one big mix apperently

So I edited the titel

Its Christmas Day here. My hubby normally celebrates the Christmas Eve too but we're in NZ this year. Merry Christmas & happy holidays everyone!!!

I have some friends here in the USA that celebrate today also...at night though not in the morning or during the day. Merry Christmas...its tomorrow for us.

A lot of French-Canadians do the gift-opening-thing on Christmas Eve. Elsewhere in Canada, we do the Christmas Day thing. My son is going bananas waiting for tomorrow morning!

(Bet he wishes we were French today!)

we in germany have already had our "bescherung" =)

you know the (christmas)-tree was never a christian, but a nordlands tradition in europe? jesus was born in summer. only the first pope lay his birth to the festival of midwinter so that jesus was celebrated. i'm not a believer in any church - just wanted to mention that

so i think x-mas should be a festival for anyone who loves colorful decorated trees
