Question for Skelita Owners!

I took it off because I personally like her the way she is without it. She doesn't fill up clothing as well, but there's no reason Skelita should be ashamed of her body.

lol same here -- i like how she looks without it....tho it might depend on the clothes, but her general shape holds up fine. i suppose it might help her to sit in her stand better. but yeah, mine is plastic-less

Honestly I agree the clothes sit funny, but that's to be expected on a skeleton. They sit on her..well like a skeleton.

Initially, I took off the plastic piece. But the way her clothes hung off her body was driving me nuts. So I put it back on. I might have kept it off if her outfit showed more of her skeletal body (because it's awesome). But since it just made it look like she was wearing a bag, with no glimpse of bony torso, there was no point. For me, anyway

I don't have her yet, but when I do, I won't be keeping it on her. I love Día de Los Muertos, sugar skulls, skeletons, etc. that's why Skelita appeals to me so much, I've been so excited to have her come out and it's driving my crazy to not own her yet! I'm thrilled they gave her so much detail and a real skeletal frame, and I want that to be obvious. It won't bug me if the clothes don't fit her the same way. She's a skeleton after all!

Not sure yet, I might take my CAM Skull head, alter that and  put it on her body. That's what I was going to suggest if you cut the noise, practice on a cam first.

off because I like the way the clothes look and classroom frankie's extremely tight belt fits her well.

I'm going to keep it on her when mine arrives. I'm going to try and hide her body, it freaks me out. I fell for her hair, her face, and the story surrounding her. Beautiful, but I'm petrified of that body...

i think for now i'm just going to paint right over the eyes. they're off set just enough to creep me.

i think for now i'm just going to paint right over the eyes. they're off set just enough to creep me.

If you look at the pic of Skelita and her family they all have eyes like that. So my guess is sugar skull design

I took it off of mine, since it limits the poseability in her legs, though I'm thinking of adding it back. I keep all of my dolls on display in their stands and the waist piece doesn't quite fit her securely without it. I have a handful of those clear plastic body molds that I've saved from the fashion packs, so I'm thinking of snipping off the thighs on one so she can still be posed while wearing it.

I love her skeletal body, I only wish her outfit exhibited it better.

I'm keeping the plastic part off of my Skelita.  I love her unique body shape, and don't mind the fact that clothes fit her differently from the other girls.

She's really a stunning and original doll!

Took mine off.  Also, for those of you keeping it on to make her stand fit, you can actually get the stand to grip the ribs just below her arms...the end of the gripper-piece actually fits in between those ribs, and the shape of her arms keeps them from getting in the way when this is done.  Holds my Skelita quite securely without the plastic chest plate.

I voted for "Other" because I HAVE to be the difficult one:)

I am getting at least 3 of Skelita.  One will be kept stock, with her plastic piece on, so her clothing displays well.  One will be nakey at all times!  That body should not be covered by anything!  It's way too neat.  Obviously that one won't be using the plastic.  And the last one will be donating her body to my CAM Skeleton.  Not sure if that one will be using the plastic or not   Probably not!  I think I'll play with her and see if I can find her the perfect outfit that compliments her bones AND sits well on her body.  So much fun to be had!  Can't wait!
