1980's Lanard Fakies
« on: December 17, 2012, 05:28:07 PM »
Just a quick question... Is there any love to be had for these old 80's (I think) Lanards? Are they worth anything?

Thanks  :)

Definitely! There are plenty of fakie collectors out there who would give them a good home. They aren't worth a whole lot that I know of so probably like $1 or $2 each but people do collect them so you might make a sale or trade if you're not wanting to keep them yourself :)

I love them too. I have the aqua one, but I've never seen the yellow one. She's the predecessor to the blue one from the 90's set.

I have over 50 Lanards, they're my favourite fakie ^.^
They sell for only a couple of bucks each but I always found it hard with the postage price

Some of the more unique fakies are so much fun!  People definitely do collect them!

Don't give up on the fakies whenever you find them.  :-p  We even sometimes have customs contests where people share what they've done to make freaky-looking ones much more appealing.  These however, are NOT those type and it already looks like you've got some interest going!

I agree with emery - $1-2 at the very best and mostly the $1 mark to be honest on a good day. If you struggle to sell as often people are reluctant to pay the pony price plus shipping then you should still manage to find a new home for them if you offer them for shipping only - there are plenty of fans of these girls out there.

I will pick up fakies when I see them. The real Lanards are worth more, I think, than their ripoff cousins! The fakies have more fakes of themselves than any of the My Little Pony lines!

Lanards are one of the fakies I truly love. I hope to start a collection of them someday. I had quite a few of them when I was younger but stupidly sold them off.

Hey everyone - wow - I didn't expect such an enthusiastic response!   These are real lanards, my subject line might have been a bit confusing, I guess! They read Lanard 1984 on the hoof.

If someone wants them, that's just dandy  :)  Their condition isn't fantastic as can been seen in the photo - I haven't taken the trouble to clean them up and the heads are no longer factory sealed. If anyone is willing to do a trade or something feel free to pm me. Postage is a killer though - I think it's about $10.35NZ to ship international from here  :(
