Does anybody have any tips on making ear piercings on MH dolls? I like to swap around outfits and accessories but then there are releases like dead tired that don't have piercings... I tried just using a needle but it was really hard to get a hole big enough for the earring peg to fit into, haha :')

Easy as pie: Light up the needle first with a lighter or match. Once it's red hot, insert into ear at least once or twice.

That method can char the needle, leaving black burnt into the plastic of your doll. I hope you read this before you try >.<

You should try using a hand drill and a 1/16 drill bit. I use that method all the time to pierce pony ears and get no discoloration in the plastic. It's the same concept and it should work but I haven't personally tried it on a MH doll. You could maybe try it on another vinyl toy first to see if it works.

Most candle produce smoke when they burn. Holding a needle in the flame can collect the particles and blacken the needle. It CAN happen with a lighter, but its rare. Heck, I have used an electric stove burner and that still caused blackening. When that happens, the black stuff gets melted into the plastic so it can't just be wiped away. That's why I switched to a drill. I figured better to share the knowledge so someone doesnt have it happen to them too.

Yay, my Jinafire got picked up... should be here Wednesday by end of day... which is actually really fast considering it's technically gonna be on the road starting Monday. I must plot pic spam... 

So, anyone wanna take bets on me finding Jinafire at Walmart tomorrow when I finish up food shopping? Because I am so sure I am gonna find them... because I lack cash. Dang survey site needs to hurry its butt up and approve my money.. xD

And if you're not comfortable with Dremel or heated metal, a pin vise is really nice for tiny, delicate drilling jobs. Since it's hand-powered you have complete control of how deep you drill and at what angle. Slower than a Dremel, sure, but there's less chance of one of those 'Oh no!!! What did I just do?' moments. ^__^

Ugh, I know the feeling. All the toy money I have right now *must* go to Christmas presents, so I had to leave Jinafire on the shelf.
And then we found out all 3 little girls we're buying for want MH...Jinafire and Skelita were gone by the time we could go back, but at least we get the pleasure of feeding 3 budding MH addictions.

So yesterday I celebrated Christmas with my boyfriend and his family and I got a Roller Maze Lagoona (for a fashion pack), two Classroom Lagoonas and one Classroom Frankie! Which means I need to go out and buy Robecca, Venus, PD Cleo (maybe PD Draculaura) and two Dance Class Lagoonas since he didn't buy me any new dolls that I didn't know he bought besides the Roller Maze Lagoona that he picked up at Meijer for $8. My wallet is crying already. Though I'll wait 'til after the holidays to get them. TRU is having a BOGO 50% Off sale, but we shall see.
