I like My Little Pony. However I distance myself from the brony movement.

Afaik, Bronies only like the FIM cartoon. They dont' even like the toys and complain loudly about the toys not being show accurate. They diss people who like other generations. They're rude and shame people who disagree with them (just like your friend), and call them vulgar names (experience from Facebook).

As you probably know, I no longer like FIM since the pony wedding. I am no longer on the facebook page because obnoxious bronies took to calling me vulgar names and shaming me when I voiced my discontent on Hasbro's page.

But I still collect the toys. I proudly call myself a collector now. When people call me a brony, I respond "I'm not a brony. I'm a collector!".

No offense, but I'm jaded by them. Sorry.

The movie is magic! Each person sees the movie that they like, sort of like a visual translator of sorts. My version shows The Hobbit.

Personally, I consider myself a collector and not a Brony because g1s are my focus, though I like and collect g4s and watch FiM.  I don't have an issue with Bronies (I just ignore the mean ones) but I don't identify with them.
