what about a penanggalan
Yikes! Never heard of those! I don't think I'd want to do a doll of one, but it's an interesting myth!

Chinese vampires are interesting too, very different from "ours". You could make a ton of accessories to go with it, they have specific clothes, necklaces, paper seals and all... gosh, I might consider buying a MH doll to make one myself one day ^^
Another interesting monster that I'd never heard of. I know most cultures have variations on undead, Chinese vampires are a kind of cool zombie-vamp hybrid!

A centaur?
I meant to add that, don't know how it didn't get in there.

Spider
Naga
Basilisk
Leprechaun
Phoenix
Griffin
Manticore
Cockatrice
Kappa
Ent
Redcap
Roc
Qilin
And although it's not a monster, I like the idea of a shark custom, because of the 'monster' movie, Jaws.
Tons of great suggestions! I did purposely leave off phoenix, because there's no way I could do one as good as Phoebe Nix, but I will add it as well as the others!

Centaur
Mattel have made a Cam unicorn- just wanted to let you know :)

Post Merge: November 29, 2012, 05:28:53 AM

And they've made the siren :) and a harpy :)
I did know about the unicorn, but I've never seen the siren or harpy! Cool!!!

Goblin! (witch cam does quite nicely wit the pointed ears and green skin)
Selkie
I always thought Selkies were kind of like Sirens but upon reading more, I was wrong! And a Goblin would be adorable! I think I have seen one somewhere, actually!

For your delight and edification, please allow me to post my favorite 'Wondermark' web cartoon -
Hope you love it as much as I do !

(original is here - http://wondermark.com/566/)
That is so cool and helpful! I might have to print one out!!

Woah, nice.

Personnally,  I'd like to make a sphinx someday. Maybe even two, as they are pretty different from culture to culture. So probably a male sphinx (egyptian) and a female sphinx (greek, riddler).
I still have to finish a tzitzimilt (Aztec monster) I started a while ago... I'm just not sure how I'm going to do the arms, they are supposed to be made of stars/contellations...

Goblins can be like the werewolf cam with the ears on the side of the head like Gabby Hobgoblin, or like my Smet who will look like the witch but she will have gold eyes and fangs.

YES! Gabby Hobgoblin is the one I've seen- she is gorgeous! I would love to see Smet. Could you PM me a picture? I want to absorb as much creative inspiration as possible before my CAM kit gets here.

Smet is coming at Christmas, then I have to do her eyes golden, lips reddish and 4 sharp fangs: 2 on the sides like a vamp and two shorter ones in the middle. I also have to find a black haired Bratz I can scalp.

Oh haha you're welcome. It's completely true, though. My biggest inspiration is seeing gorgeous customs here, but on the flip side, my biggest deterrent is seeing gorgeous customs here... And knowing I can't measure up.

Added! Thanks! I am learning so many new things.

I am kinda leaning towards doing a leprechaun. I LOVED leprechauns as a kid... Like to the point I wanted to be one. Instead of saying I'm half-Irish I would say half-leprechaun.

Let see what I can think up of from the top of my head:

-Doppelganger
-Dullahan
-Succubus
-Incubus
-Shapeshifter
-Mimic
-Golem
-Wyvern
-Leviathan
-Shark Girl
-Lobster Girl
-Squid Girl
-Piranha Girl
-Karakasa
-Tengu (Might be considered as Harpy)
-Will-o-the-Wisp

Other possible Weremonsters:
-Werebear
-Werebunny
-Werehamster
-Weremouse
-Werefox (not to be confused with the Kitsune/Kyūbi)

A werebear is a Gurahl :D
I want a Nuwisha (werecoyote) I'm thinking about making one of my Clawdeens into one ^^
OH, and according to World of Darkness a few years ago; Kitsune is werefox
Werecats were called Basts (which is why I gave Dusk the surname Bastion)
Anasazi were werespiders (the only reason I'd probably ever have more than one AJ)

They've changed things since then, so I dunno what's still accurate and I can't remember them all. As far as I know though, there were no werebunnies in the World of Darkness XD

random bout of geekiness, apologies.

What about a wendigo? And the book series Fablehaven has lots of awesome creatures- like Astrids, who are owls with human faces that cannot be identified as female or male.

Don't forget a Boggart XD or a Brownie :B what about a Fawn?
 :rainbow: G2 Maniac! :rainbow: :enthralled:

I has no idea what World of Darkness is, sorry. >,<;

The wereanimals, I just thought up of animals, with the prefix of Were. XD
Werebear being the form a Norn can become from Guild Wars: Eye of the North/2

-Wereporcupine
-Wereferret
-Wereskunk
-Werearmadillo
-Werebat

More monsters, this time based on food!

-Spaghetti/Ramen Monster
-Sushi/Onigiri/Rice Monster
-Chili Pepper Monster
-Jello Monster with little bits and slices of fruit. :P
-Cotton Candy Monster
-Hard Candy Monster
-Cake/Frosting/Cupcake/Ice Cream Sundae Monster with sprinkles! XD (This idea I REALLY like!! Might even use this idea myself.)
-Marshmallow Monster
-COOKIE MONSTER!!

I'm loving your suggestions. A Norn doll would be hilarious, I didn't play Guild Wars, but I play GW2 and my main character is a Norn, I love her. Although Norn are basically Vikings... Come to think of it, did you mean Charr?

YES! I thought of Fawn the other day but I wasn't at the computer at the time, we were talking about James McAvoy being a fawn in the first Narnia movie.
