twins would be great with me! :)

With a swap like this I can't help thinking "but that doesn't seem like much!" because a baby is so little. But I have to kep reminding myself that this isn't supposed to be big and crazy. So I am trying to be good and just make my one pony the best I can XD

lol, I keep feeling the same thing!

I love twins :) But no pressure. I won't feel disappointed or neglected to get one pony while others get more. Whatever makes the swap most fun for my partner is what I want.

Hey guys.
My pony is done and hair is drying.

I feel generous if you were my partner, would object to a set of twins?
-is tripping over baby pony baits-

Wow, you are FAST!  I'm waiting on my hair in the mail and for my bait.  But I have everything else.

I would NEVER object to twins, if you felt so inspired.  :)  But I'm only expecting the one pony, so won't be upset if I get one and others get a set.  As long as my partner tries her best and has fun, that's all I could ever ask.

*hoofbump*  ;)  I've only been GF since September.  I miss bread and such, but it's amazing how much better I feel after 24 years of assuming that daily stomach aches were totally normal.  I know of a couple other Celiac members and lots more who are GF just because they feel better.  :)

Have you tried Udi's brand GF bread? That's my favorite. It's best if you toast it of course (as with most GF bread), but I was super happy when I found them and could have sandwiches again! I've also been told Pamela's makes a GF bread mix that is super easy to make and super yummy.

Hmm... maybe we should start a gluten free thread in off topic...

I love Udis!  They are actually based in my city and have a cafe here.  I buy most of my bread substitutes from them.  I made a GF thread in OT, so we don't stay too off topic here lol. --> http://mlparena.com/mlp/index.php/topic,318913.0.html

Oh yes, I also would definitely not expect twins! One baby pony is totally awesome with me.

I was also thinking about the extras thing, and if my partner felt so inclined to need to include extras, I would actually prefer baby pony accessories (handmade or hasbro) instead of any candy or keychains or whatever. But not getting any extras is also groovy with me. I am totally looking forward to seeing the baby pony my partner creates!

Dear partner,

if the baby is a mix between uni/earth or earth/peg, which one would you prefer for the baby?

It wouldn't matter to me, whichever worked best with the design.  :)

well, i wasn't going to mention it, but I was already secretly planning on twins. both are prepped, and 1.5 are haired :P so yeah. twins are so not an objection - lol

if the baby is a mix between uni/earth or earth/peg, which one would you prefer for the baby?....I would say, like zen, what works best with your design. I often go for earth ponies...just because horses were a first love of mine....but i love unis and pegasi as well   (such a helpful reply, eh? not really - lol)

In pony genetics in my mind I assume that peg and uni are kind of recessive... but that's just my mind. Whatever works best!

Any option is fine with me so I'll leave it up to my partner to decide :)

As we've seen in FiM, even earth pony parents can have uni & peg babies, heh heh.

That makes enough sense to me and explains why earth parents sometimes have peg or uni babies.  :P  You can always assume one parent is a carrier for the recessive gene... so there's still a 50/50 chance of being earth or peg/uni.  *loves genetics*

Really? Uni/peg is recessive? I always imagined it to be dominant. Unless the parents are a pegasus and a unicorn, in which case, it's a 50/50 chance. But paired with an Earth pony, the baby always inherits the wings/horn in my headcanon.

(That being said, I'm pairing a pegasus and Earth pony for the pony I'm making, and it's going to have wings. BD)

Twins are ok with me too, but that doesn't mean I have to have them :)  I'm just happy that I get to take part in another custom swap :)

As far as genetics, I always thought of the Peg and Uni traits to be dominant as well, but now that I think about it, the other way makes more sense... In my mind anyway.  Really though, I don't have much of a preference :P
