Dumb ways to die?

Can somebody explain to me what this has to do with trains?

After explaining all the dumb ways to die-  the get to the train-related dumb ways to die, like driving around the bar that comes down when a train is approaching, or trying to cross the tracks when a train is coming...    unfortunately, people really do those sorts of things.

I was shocked that it was a PSA!  But also impressed...

People who do that are idoits  but I don't think they would do it that much at the central Melborune station due to most of the stuff being on the left side of it.

I...I can't stop listening to it.  It's quite possibly the catchiest song I have ever heard.  Not even joking!  But...Kidney guy's dance makes me smile, and I'm becoming tempted to brave Black Friday just so I can go to a crowded store, hold a wad of money and dance like him.

Ahhhh funny.  We need a similar awareness campaign here in our city.  This past summer, three people in a week walked out onto the train tracks while not looking.  Only one of the drunks survived.  Guess what they were all doing?

Fiddling with personal music players or their mobile phones!

Yikes! I can totally see that happening....

I know there have been pedestrian deaths in Seattle from a) people trying to drive around the light rail (or train) after the bar comes down; b) pedestrians who are either idiots or suicidal walking on the tracks... 

We need an awareness campaign too- luckily this particular PSA is so catchy and has gone so viral that maybe all of us that live in cities with trains/light rails can reap the benefit of added awareness-  at least for a while until people forget again...


The cartoon is oddly compelling and the song totally gets stuck in my head...

What are Mysties?      I agree this was brilliant advertising-  I wonder if there is an ad campaign (like billboards) that came along with it?  If I saw a poster with these guys on it at the lightrail station, I would definitely think of the song again... heh
