Piggy Restoration Help!
« on: November 20, 2012, 04:53:33 AM »
Hi, I just bought my first piggy a few days ago and she just arrived in the post today  . She needs a full rehair but is otherwise in pretty good condition.

I have never done a rehair before though and I'm reluctant for this to be my first one. Should I find someone who knows what they are doing to rehair her for me or have a go myself? Any tips and advice appreciated. Thanks  :)

Rehairing is pretty simple but if you're not sure I wouldn't try on a piggy.

If you like I can rehair her for you. We're both in the UK so it'd be simple enough :)

congrats on your piggy! who is it? :)

i have rehaired piggy's :) the neck joint is the same as a normal pony's :)

a little tip, you need two hanks of hair, one hank won't quite be enough ;)

Thanks, it's cotton candy . I thought it looked like she had thicker hair than a normal pony.

the tail is very tick, almost two normal pony tails thick and the plug holes are bigger as well :)

You could always try first on a bait pony if you wanted to give it a go :)
