Possible Sea Ponies in the Future?

Now that I think about it, I'm not really sure if that aquatic pony on the cover is a mermare or a seapony. I guess we'll have to wait until somebody gets a copy.

Sea ponies? All my yes! Though they aren't really what I thought they would look like.

Aquastria does sound kind of funny too...but I can't say I hate it. Saying it almost gives me the feeling I'm saying it underwater.

I dislike the art.  The image is so busy and vivid, it hurts my eyes to look at it.  And the ponies really do look lifeless.  I can't quite tell what sort of interaction is supposed to be going on here.  Are they happy about the horse thing? Upset? What is Twilight even doing?  Eugh. 

The concept and story sound interesting, though.

Um. It's full of horrific imagery, so no, it's not "low". It's appropriate.

Also, yeah, typical brony reaction to the art not being exactly like the show. Don't worry, they do this with fanart all the time, it's a thing they do. They'll still buy the stuff (and complain about it after the fact) but that's what Hasbro wants. Buying stuff.

Regardless, if I was a child, you know, what this entire line is catered to, I would adore that seapony. She is like a betta fish--beautiful fins, and very fantastical. I adore the style, and hope they actually show up in a line..that would be amazing.

I'm not a fan of the art, but that's just a stylistic thing. I think the little fins that the mane 6 have are so cute!

Oooh- I didn't notice that the six had fins- how interesting!  I wonder if they will release toys with fins?

The mermare looks lovely! I'm geeking over it because it has almost the exact body like the mermare I designed, assuming they have fish tails. I love aquatic ponies!

She's the beta-like fish on the right. Although I think they look nice with horns too.

Aquastria does sound pretty silly though. The underwater city I named is Corral Reef.

Let me go on record saying that I'm pretty much a G1/G4 fan exclusively, though I don't mind the other gens, just aren't my cup of tea. I apologize for other bronies who may act hostile to it, but it's not their cup of tea and they express it more boisterously. I don't think it's okay to stereotype them like that. I see tons of seapony and other G1 stuff in brony circles. Heck, even Minty is relatively popular...

This cover doesn't look terrible, I do like the art style. It's different.
