A couple of interesting Mattel trademarks
« on: November 17, 2012, 01:26:54 AM »
So, I was browsing through trademarks that Mattel holds, and found this:

'Monster High Nightmares'
http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=doc&state=4007:n2woe9.2.352
This covers dolls, doll clothing and accessories, and 'toy figures' which seems to be the dolls' pets.

I also found this:
http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=doc&state=4007:n2woe9.2.438
'Ever After High'. I wonder if it's related to Monster High, or if Mattel are repeating the theme with a princess line?

I'd love to hear everyone's speculations on what these things could be   :)

Hmm interesting! I'm just a bit fed up of countless dolls being flung at us. I actually don't want even more, I want the production to slow down, I find I can't keep up. And on top of that, I can't get excited about dolls just flung at us, with Jinafire and Skellita, there was so much excitement and so many runours after leaks, I got super hyped, but Fearbook dolls? No excitement. *sigh*  -_-

My opinions

Monster High Nightmares: New fashion packs, and new ghouls, since they're gonna add pets, I could only assume this'll be preparations for a new wave of new Signature ghouls to show up for their first time after Venus, Robecca & Rochelle. Since every "Signature" release (besides Cupid, Skelita, Jinafire And Caterine since they didn't come with one) came with a pet and diary, I'm guessing new ghouls to appear in the Halls of MH. (and possibly DOA)

Ever After High: Ugh, I hope Mattel isn't running out of ideas and just pulling themed ideas out their butts and end up making a princess line, Which I thought the reason for MH Was to get AWAY From the constant princess dolls. >,> OR This could be a 2nd wave of the Scarily Ever After dolls and they add the ghouls that were in the books of the first set, like Cleo, Holt, Abbey, and I can't remember who else was in those books/pictures. And just for everyone else that wants to dream: possibly a Heath doll?!?!

Those are just my ideas, opinions & takes on them. :P

Maybe Ever After High is based on fairies?

Ever After high wouldn't have to be princesses. I could imagine it being based on all sorts of fairy tales.

If Ever After High dolls had the same general look and articulation of Monster High dolls, I'd collect them in a heartbeat. I can't deny my love of girly things.

Both sound really interesting to me and I like everybody's theories! Mattel better reveal details soon

I love the constant stream of releases, I just can't get enough  ^.^ Even though it's expensive o_o

And just for everyone else that wants to dream: possibly a Heath doll?!?!

Heath is featured in the Fearbooks that come with the Picture Day dolls! So are Invisi Billy and Slow Moe.

There you go!! So there's a possibility, that the next wave of Signature dolls, could mostly be concentrated on Boy Ghouls!!

omg..dolls based on the kids of famous fairy tale characters would be fantastic!! I hope that's what it is!  Then they could go way beyond princesses!
