Just calculated my pony spendings of 2012

I don't buy ponies much anymore (still love the ones I have, though!) but I get the horror.  I do still collect dolls... what's really alarming is when you realize you're a "paypal advantage" member.  I didn't know what it meant, and when I realized that I was also one last year... the horror, indeed.

i'm at about 6-700. for the last 4 or 5 weeks. sold some and made 150 back, and still have some pending auctions. a few here and there really doesn't seem much. but then you add it up... my dad actually asked me the other day how much i've spent, and is it worth it. i said it will be when i can sell it all later lol!!

I'm a freaking casual!! I really can't afford it... but somehow I manage it.. Hubby works full time but I pay the bills, so he buys our things that we need and the rest of my money is just for me. I'm a barista in a hospital cafe, and we used to get a free meal and drink every day we worked which saved me soooo much money, I never had to buy lunch, or lunch supplies or anything.. but that stopped a few months ago, so I've been spending all my pay lately, I suck with adjusting to new things! I'm going to partially join madhatter's no ponies til january challenge by not buying ponies online til then... hopefully it won't come to more than $1100 all up for the year!

Im abit crazier than the rest of you, so I wont say my total, dont wanna even think about it really, but I do know my comissioned customs for this year would be well over $1000.

Ahhh I almost passed up this thread, but I had to stop and read it.

I'm disgustingly guilty at spending money on ponies... I'm probably around $1500 or more as well. I don't know if that would include store-bought G4 items, or just ebay and Arena/forums... but I know it's got to be something like that... though, except for G4 stuff and buying from Arena, my eBay spending has decreased... OHHH but I spent a buttload on ponies at Goodwill so...

Yeah I've got a problem.

(Funny little story... my bf and I were hanging out in my pony room just talking and whatever, and he's always got his nose in his phone reading news or facebook or emails... and I was giving him a hard time (in a joking way, not serious), about how he's got this issue with technology and he can't put it down... and I ended the conversation by saying with a big smile, "Seriously, you're addicted, you're sick!"... and he just... looked around the room at the hundreds upon hundreds of ponies... and got this big goofy grin on his face... and all I could say was, "Given the circumstances and location we're in that statement MAY seem a bit hypocritical...")

I better don't think about it.. but to tell it in ponies...I purchased 11 MIB Veniz, my grail Moc Sunburst, a Moc Nurse, MIB Nestie Baby Würfelchen...several Greek Mocs.. a few loose Brazils...

to name just the top of the pops.. no common ponies included...

But I better stop to think about it - I want to sleep this night!! LOL.

Ok, this is gonna be bad.....for the year huh?!......Just to give you an idea......I brought $1,000 to the pony fair...and I know I spent at least 3/4s of that, not to mention a lot of big buys, or partial trades....although some of the spending came from me selling doubles and what not....., But I am gonna take a guess and say.........I am gonna guess low just to make myself feel better...lol....so I am guess at least $4,000.00.....OUCH!....lol  but it is probably more then that...lol

I really don't want to know my total... I only started collecting this year really and already have over 300 ponies so it's in the thousands but I just know I'll hate myself if I know the definite total!
