Aw, those take me back to my childhood.  Of course, I hated them then as they were about the "skinny ponies" (I preferred G1s back then if you hadn't guessed! ), but they certainly make me feel nostalgic now.  I missed two issues though, and have never managed to track them down.  They're not as easy to find as the G1 comics.

And yes, there was only ever the one annual sadly.  I remember the line "As far as you can imagine, but as near as you can wish..." particularly.  I had a pretty lonely childhood, so it was nice to imagine there was a magical world full of pony friends out there that was quite literally "just a wish away"!  (Yes, I was a crazy child! )

Yeah these comics are really strange... Like you'd think they'd be trying to teach bigger lessons other than "music is all around us ooh aah wow who'd have thought"

g2 *Sigh* the one generation I didn't add to the continuity in my shared fanfic universe! I did strip mine it for characters to use in other generations, though I do plan to use the Friendship gardens concept in my connection between earth and Equinia (Ponyworld)!

Were there very many G2 comics? I almost fell ike I let G2 fans down by not including them as a generation!

As a child I always thought dainty dove was a strange one too. In my playtime she often would go on long journeys to far away lands to get away from all the other ponies who gossiped about her, and to find her prince who she thought was clever clover. Too bad he was already in love with sky skimmer, but she just won't get the message. So much drama. haha, seems I wasn't too far off with my characterization.

Who is that winged pony? I don't remember her ever being a toy.

thanks for sharing! I like G2 very much, and loved to read and see these, but I must admit the drawing is quite strange at times... it's not the style, but... well, the illustrator seemed to either have another script in hand when drawing or simply had troubles drawing adequate expressions is it only me who thought Wingsong's going to do something nasty at the "You don't need to hop any further"-panel? that evil look won't let me sleep tonight! >.< I suppose the illustrator must be at least related to the one who did that creepy drawing of the Fairy Tail Birds nightlight 

I really like Dainty Dove as a pony, love her colours, but huh, yeah, she indeed has some issues

She is. And I know a lot of G2's were released with removable, clip-on wings, but I don't think she was one of them. And I've been doing some pretty extensive G2 research (obsessing) lately.

  What was Lightheart's trick? That she put something inside of something else? Well, I guess the idea was that her pack was tiny and the flowers popped out of it? But that's not what the comic told us...instead of showing us...
  How is playing dress up like exploring?  I know, it's because they don't know the materials. But that sentence read like it was badly translated or something.
  Ivy brings an entire full-length mirror to a slumber party?    Well, at least she won the contest! She clearly deserved to, with her...we never see the winning dress, do we.   
  Dainty Dove, what are you on? I guess she can't stop thinking of weddings after she went mad after the love of her life left her at the altar. Poor delusional girl.

This entire post has me rolling with laughter. Literally! (Well, I have rolling wheels on my office chair ) Thankfully my coworker went to use the bathroom so I don't have to explain why I'm laughing so hard.
