loginKishan was a private commission from one of the lecturers at my school - she wanted a gift for someone's 18th birthday
She wanted the pony to have a blue and black theme, with a corset, stripey socks, a gothic feel and eyes inspired by a living dead doll.
This is what I came up with
Kishan (whose name means blue and black) was airbrushed a slightly warm, off white colour with blue gradients and black around the eyes.
Her corset is black with a gorgeous irridescent blue colour over the top and black edging.
Rose was handpainted in shades of blue and the 18 is overlaid with black glitter.
Sculpting done with Magic sculpt, all paint is artist grade acrylics, sealed with dullcote (socks are sealed with modpodge matte and eyes with triple thick), with 3 swarovski crystals and ribbons.
Hair is Black Magick, Bobby Blue, After Midnight, Water nixie and deep sea all from Dollyhair which is twisted and pinned in place.
This was a pretty rushed piece for me - I only had 2 weeks to work on her and had some health issues which prevented me from working on her for like a week. So she was mostly done over a 2.5 day period - I stopped to eat and sleep, but was working frantically (including that one stint of 15 hours straight. I love you caffeine!) Big huge massive love to Jupi, who not only helped me decide on the eye style, but who also helped keep me sane
My commissioner loves her, and given how fast I worked I'm pretty thrilled she turned out so nicely!
