I wish my paradise was coming along as nicely... she's a bit browner than I was hoping.. LOL! I can't get my hands on any pure acetone here, so I'm using nail polish, hopefully I'll get there eventually!

I am having a time deflocking as its getting cold here to be in the garage or outside, but I'm also working on a Paradise and about 10 others and I found that the granulated Oxyclean that is white powder works well for cleaning them. My Paradise and others were rather dingy as well and they've come out surprisingly clean. Its getting the flocking off that's driving me nuts, LOL.

i used to get it from the chemist, not sure if they still sell it tho. i did just read today on a buy/swap/sell that bunnings sells acetone? i'm going to check it out i think. but if not, you can always try a nail salon :)

edit to add: apparently chemists sell 100ml for 6 or 7 bucks, hairhouse warehouse if you have one near you sells  a litre for $10 :)

So, did the Simply Green also help remove the flocking?

Sadly no... it didn't do a thing to the glue except discolor it!

Lovely job, lbs!  She looks great. ^.^  And good to know about the Simple Green...

If you want to get right rid of the flocking round her eyes and symbols, super-hot water and the edge of a popsicle stick to scrub away the glue did the trick for some of my girls.

Thanks for the advice - I have been doing just that for a couple days and have made a little progress, but this glue is sooooo stubborn!

Now my next de-flock candidates are Twilight (her flocking is half off) and Wind Whistler (yellow stains all over)!

Oh lovely!  I have a mostly deflocked Paradise and Buttons awaiting me to spend some time with the Jasco to get the fuzz off their painted areas.  Paradise is pretty yellow/brown but I'm planning to mix up some retr0bright and give that a shot.

must check out the bunnings theory... I have one across the creek from me... once I get my bathroom finished (yet another setback today) I'll be able to get back to cleaning, styling and deflocking!

I get straight acetone at the hardware store, ~$5 USD/pint.  Make sure you use gloves with it, latex, neoprene, or vinyl are good for acetone. PVA and nitrile will dissolve.

For large areas like legs I like to use either cheap natural bristle brushes (the hardware store kind with either a wooden or crimped metal tube for a handle) or a cotton ball held with tweezers.  For smaller areas I use long handled cotton swabs from the pharmacy.
