The Pullips made me do it!

I just bought the Madoka Magica Dal She was on sale w/ free shipping, and I love that character, so I couldn't pass her up. Now I need the Pullip Homura and Mami to keep her company. I might as well just stop resisting and start collecting.

So, I have a question to all you Pullip lovers out there!

Is it possible to find a cheap-o bait head? I wanted to get one for reference. Is ebay a good place to look for that? And is there a price I should keep in mind.

Definitely, you might be able to find a deal on ebay, i'd also check dolly market they have pretty consistent people offering things for sale. Another option is to get an angelgate head, they're fake but for all intensive purposes the same as a pullip head

Angel Gate heads don't have an eye mech so depending on how important you feel that feature is you may want to reconsider them.

Ah, the eye thing doesn't bug me. I'm on the fence about fake things though, but maybe it'd be ok in this case.

I actually just want a head so I could make cute hats for them. That's why completely baity would be ok. So the eye thing would be not a big deal.

Madoka Dal arrived today! I'm really impressed with her. Her stock is great, plus she came with an extra outfit. Everything seems to be made well, with nice material. Her eye chips are super cute and her expression is hopeful. I find her expression very appropriate to her character. I was afraid she'd look hacked off like my Beary Fairy Dal. I'll post pics later when I get home. I did cave & order Pullips Homura & Mami and they should arrive Friday, I think. Yay magical girls!

I think I might be a Pullip convert. I've been a Blythe fan, and I still love her, but lately her releases have had major quality control issues and the stock has been cheap and bland. For the price, I think Pullip is a better deal. I mean, I paid $85 for my Madoka and you can't get even the most basic Blythe release for less than about $120 new.

If anyone has pics of Pullip Mami or Homura I'd love to see! Madoka Dal is so much cuter in person! I'd like to see owner pics of the other magical girls in the series

I do think Blythes have a special something about them, and I initially wanted to collect them, but when I saw all the diversity in pullips and the quality and clothing and easy customization options, all for a slightly more manageable price, I was a convert for sure.

Such lovely pics! My 2 girls are out for delivery; I keep checking for them. They're coming UPS and my UPS driver is a ninja. He sneaks up and silently leaves packages at the door without knocking or anything. The dogs don't even bark at him!
