CP question
« on: November 08, 2012, 10:12:28 AM »
I got Butterscotch in the mail the other day. She is the flat foot version. I noticed today that she is shorter then all my other CP ponies. Are all the flat foot CPs like this? I compared her size to Snuzzle.

I think all my Flat Foots look like that.  They had to change the mold a little (if I remember the story correctly) because the FF ponies are head heavy and tend to fall on their little pony faces.  My anniversary repro ponies that are FF also like to do face plants.

I wonder if your Snuzzle was a store concave or a mail order concave.  I don't know if that makes a difference either.

I will have to do some research. She stands nicely, but the remake ponies indeed don't have good balance, but when they fall face first on the shelf for some reason my family thinks its hilarious! I'm not sure if Snuzzle is store bought or MO. Is there a way to tell? Thanks!

I know the FF's are shorter but I don't remember them being that short.  I feel the need to compare them now.  :)

Here's what I found:  Butterscotch is shorter than Bluebelle though they are both FF.  I have all the ponies lined up so that their feet are at the edge of the cabinet.  None of my ponies are the 25th anniversary CP Ponies.

I saw on some website ( should've got the URL link!  >_< ) that it may be the Butterscotch that came with the My Pretty Pony. Hmmm, not sure though.

Yup - just like FairyDust say's the FF only had a 7 pony release at the very very start of the line as it seemed to have been released they didn't like to stand upright and tended to look a little tipsy and *head desk* with regularity. The mould has much shorter front legs than the CF version as well as a lower set head, which gives the impression of them being even shorter.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
