I don't think I could pick one song to represent my
whole life, but I have one in mind for the current "chapter" of my life, if you will.
"As For Me and My House", by John Waller. I really feel like the current culture is drawing a line in the sand and attempting to force certain people to cross it, or else face painful consequences.
So it comes down to either choosing to obey the culture (or at least appease it so it will "like" me), or to serve a higher power even at a personal cost. I choose the latter. I draw my own line in the sand and faithfully stand there no matter what lions I may get fed to.
The Warrior Is A Child by Twila Paris. I can really relate to that one. Also Woulda, Shoulda, Coulda by Petra. It's about learning and moving on from your mistakes and not dwelling on what ifs.
I'm gonna have to listen to that one. I enjoy Twila Paris, but I haven't heard all of her songs.
