That was so great of you to take them in.  My first foster kittens were about that size and 4 weeks old when I got them.  They were dumped outside the shelter I work at in a box in winter.  Sadly it's a something that happens often.

Thankfully the ones you should have should only need bottle fed/milk for another week or two if they're eating on their own.  One of the fosters from my shelter who has raised tons of kittens from just days old mixes in egg yoke into the formula to give it more protein.  She swears by it and her kittens were always healthy and plump.

Goodluck with them. Hopefully we can see pics as they grow.  Four-six weeks is my favourite age...they're just starting to walk and play but they're so tiny and clumsy. It's adorable.

It's so good that you were there to step in and take care of them!
How could anyone just leave poor little kittys like that?
I have super-allergic friends who have taken in kittys and malnourished cats. I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to take on a couple of kittens if they were left like that.
Thank Odin for all the good people who cares for animals these days!

Poor babies! I agree that lady probably dumped them- what a meanie!   All because she was probably too cheap/irresponsible to fix her poor kitty.

I am SO GLAD you are helping them!  HUGE HUGS!!!!

You're such a wonderful person! People here in Iceland are pretty horrible to animals and people like you give me hope in humanity

They are so adorable! I hope you find loving homes for them soon :)

aww just four of them ? we had to do the same thing 10 years ago, we had a mom that was dumped and had kittens we had 5 the first time all orange tabby boys. we have two of them still with us , the rest found homes. the next year she only had 4 that we found they were 3 tabbies and one calico girl. I understand what you are going though, and I wish you the best.

Everyone is doing very well!  Only the runt (Baby Charlie!) needs bottle feeding sometimes.  The other three are able to eat formula and canned food on their own.  Those three are also litter box trained! They decided to do this the next day I had them! It wasn't my idea.  I just let them tell me what they need and do it.  The tabby (Baby Olivia!) is a champion eater, she lays on top of the food and plate and just suckles away at the food, she's always the messiest.  I can never get her to stay clean long enough.  The real big one is the orange and white one, Baby Oliver (or maybe it's Baby Ben!) he also seems to be a bit of a bully over food so I have to keep an eye on him too.  Then you have the Calico (Precious Baby!) who tends to fall asleep a lot but she can jump out of her box and likes to scream/holler a lot :)  I am so thankful that they all pulled through and are getting bigger by the day (sometimes i fall asleep for a few hours and notice that they've grown in that time!)  I'll probably be working with a local rescue so I can get free or reduced vet care for them since I cannot afford that on my own.
