G4 Fakies?

They definitely have a different texture- it is softer than the FS ponies- they aren't exactly squishy- but the plastic is softer.  The tails are also rooted directly in the plastic.


If you are not coming to the NW Pony Party, there are lots of these cuties on Taobao.com (that is where I got them)  - the price for the ponies is SUPER cheap- but since they come in a box and are quite large- shipping is rather expensive (otherwise I would have ordered more)

Would it be cheaper to order them in bulk, like a group order? I'm very nervous when it comes to ordering from taobao, but these fakies are so unbelievably cute I'd love to try to get my hands on one or two.

If anyone is doing a group order - I may be tempted! How much did they run?

The actual price for a set of three is only 50 Yuan (approx $8.30) Shipping from China seller to agent 30 Yuan for two sets (about $5) - shipping from China agent to me for two sets of 3 was also about 50 Yuan (another approx $8.30) -   there is also a minimum service fee if you use an agent- it is also 50 Yuan -

So they probably end up costing approximately $10.  But it is a bit of a hassle honestly ordering from Taobao.

I have had lots of luck with agent Taobaonow.com - I think they are the fastest and easiest to understand.  Steer clear of TaobaoEnglish! They are terrible...

Even with Taobaonow though- it is quite the process

Amendment-  I just looked over on Taobao and it looks like the price has gone up - they are now 80 Yuan-  (about $13?)

Can anyone tell me what the little box above the weird mermaid description says? It has Sweetie Belle in it. lol

Box says:

So odd....

I don't have any of the Ponyville Mermaids, so I can't say for certain, but I wonder if perhaps this quote is from one of their packages?
