Had to take a break for a few days because of a "pop" test and CPR renewal for classes. But now that everything is finished until after Thanksgiving (and I have this weekend off, yay!), I can sit down and get work done.

Okay, I rethought my plan, and I came up with this solution: I'm going to make one big pony as the main custom, and two smaller ponies as extras. I hope this works for my partner!

Okay, the paint work on the two extras are done, they just need to be rerooted. As for the main pony, I just received the bait today -- it is prepped and ready to be painted!

Extras...I was thinking no more than $5 for extras, and no extras if you are making more than one pony. Anyone else want to weigh in?

and I got started on my pony!!! she is all prepped and awaiting a FBR, plus I think I even have the right hair colors aswell.  I will tell you that never happens!

the extras rule sounds perfectly fine by me, moneys tight and itll be easier for me to make more than one pony cause i have a mountain of bait and hair already on hand.

progress: all FBRs are done, have all the hair i need (yay luck!) finishing up eyes on the first one now. =]

The extras rule seems reasonable and a good idea.  Sometimes people end up feeling badly if some members of the swap overdo extras and others don't.

I am waiting for my bait in the mail, but all my necessities are on the way!

dear partner, do you mind if i leave the blush off? i have yet to get it to work and dont want to risk ruining the custom(s) but if youd like me to try i will. (and if you vote against it and know how to do it youre welcome to alter it when you get it if you decide you want blush)

Question! I know that for replicas, the original hairstyle would be preferred, but what about remakes? Is long hair okay?

For me blush and hairstyles aren't a deal breaker. Whatever is easiest for my partner is fine with me. And I like the extras cap, even though I think I'll be able to make a 2nd custom as long as my hair order shows up soon.

for me i prefer reasonably long hair- think hasbro toward the end of G1 when it was a touch longer than usual. just not too fond of crazy long hair if its not a BnG. =P so i leave it up to you to do what looks good =]

sealed all of my customs and debating hair now. hopin to have them done-done in the next day or two, then on to working on my other swap and random personal customs. =] i think theyre shaping up pretty good, tho i have a few minor issues with them mainly with the FBRs... dont have an airbrush so its brushed. *perfectionist meltdown*
