Given my mania for opening up my ponies and cleaning out their innards, I've finally accidentally Red Queened one ("Orf wiv 'er 'ead!").  Totally beheaded, and not the desirable (re-closeable) way; the way that has to be fixed with glue.  Oops.

Once she's been cleaned out (in my own defense, she did have a nasty case of tail rust and some blackish gunge in her hooves; I just zigged when I should've zagged, I guess), what's the best way to reattach her head to her body?  Any favourite glues?  Any to avoid at all costs?

i use  heavy duty superglue!

Gel super glue. It doesn't run like regular super glue. I usually have a clean line afterwards...no worries it happens. I think I've beheaded four girls so far.

Araldite, its little toxic, i used it when i was in the jewellery making business, its to forms of glue mixed to together, very strong and great for all kinds of textures
there are two types, quick 5 min or one you have to leave for 12hours etc
very permanent

I use heavy duty sperglue as well, I'll have to try the gel kind though

I use modelling glue [usually Revell] - its perfect for hard and soft plastics. Less likely to run, I dont need as much of it as superglue and its got a perfect application point for small items.

Thank you all so much!  I'll poke around the crafts and hardware sections of WalMart on the weekend and see what I can find from the suggestion list.   And I'll let you know how she turns out.

It's pretty much pure awesome. I've been using the same bottle for over a year till last week. I accidentally super glued it to the table though was the reason I had to throw it out.   I had trouble finding it where I'm at and Maniah has persuaded me to try Loctite. She says it's pretty good.

Loctite has worked pretty well for me, as has Krazy Glue.

I used UHU on a couple of my girls (but they still had their relevant neck plugs, just their heads kept spinning around  ) but superglue is always a good call.

Gorilla glue!  That stuff is insane!  I like it better than superglue, and it doesn't get all clogged.  You need VERY little, though.  Keep that in mind.  A few tiny dabs will do it, because you don't want it coming out of the seem.
