Old Pony Tapes

While I was out yardsaling I saw a random old MLP vhs, didn't pick it up though since I was never into the older tv ponies.

Do you guys pick these kinds of things up or do you just go to find dvds of them?

I have a VHS of the MLP Movie but its more for collection purposes than actually watching - for that I have a DVD! So it probably depends what the VHS was actually of as well as whether its worth while for a collection.

I have a VCR as well, so I would have picked it up to watch

I also still have a vcr so I probably would have picked it up.  If it wasn't too expensive, I probably would have picked it up anyhow.  Running across older mlp stuff around here has become increasingly rare.  I would find it hard to leave behind even if I couldn't watch it.

I collect the VHS even though I'm more likely to watch the DVDs.

For me, not watching them is no different than not playing with the toys...that's not entirely why I want them anyway. I can still display them, even if the box art is sometimes hilariously bad. Although I do have a VCR still and will watch old tapes sometimes anyway.

I have the VSH of the first My Little Pony special where it's actually called 'My little Pony' instead of Firefly's adventure when I had a VCR I used it watch it since the DVD of it cut out one sing. I'd also like to get the second MLP special since the DVD of it also cut out a song.

though i have got ridden of all my vhs and only use dvd, all my mlp toons are on dvd but i do have rescue from midnight castle on video/VHS because it is very sentimental to me and its in the original cardboard cover , its alittle tatty but when i was i kid i was for ever getting mum to rent it out for me and watched it soooo many times. i never really got into the tv series but have it for my kids
 btw we never bought VHS in the 80s cos they were $40 LOL not like now

 when i got my fav rescue from midnight castle on dvd it had the other special escape from Katrina
those two were the best

My sister and I watched our VHS copy of the first movie so many times it stopped working. I'd love to get a hold of another copy. Just like stated above I'd take it even if i couldn't watch it. Mostly for nostalgia.

I still have a bunch of VHS tapes from my childhood I couldn't get rid of them, even though I probably won't watch them.

I have quite a large G1 MLP VHS collection and I also have many of the episodes on DVD as well. Sometimes the DVD versions are cut so I do like to watch the VHS versions and there are some episodes I have not managed to find on DVD.

I still have the two (three?) from when I was a kid. As already mentioned, two songs were cut - both were eliminated for when they wefe actually on tv as part of the show, instead of the one-hour special. At least, as far as i know that's why they were eliminated. Still, that's why i still have tjem. And since I still have a vhs player...

I have a couple of VHS tapes (the movie and Fugitive Flowers) that I picked up while thrifting and I'd happily add more if I happened to find them.  . I don't watch them as often as the DVDs but I consider them part of the collection, in the same vein of coloring books, lunch boxes and the like.

The songs are "Little Piece of Rainbow" And "The Good Old Days"
