Alpacasso. WANT!

Let's see. Well, tag is a sure way. If you are buying one you cannot see in person, ask the seller to take a picture of the tag. It seems like a majority on ebay are legit-- but I do see a 2 that maybe aren't. I see a majority of them you can see the tag in the picture. If no hang tag, then the butt tag.

I think the biggest place to be wary of fakes is at cons. Not trying to plug, but I know Anime Palace goes to cons all over the US and they only have legit merch. (They also have stores in Columbus, OH and Santa Clara, California). They always seemed to be willing to special order things too.

There are other people I know that have webpages set up, or blogs, or livejournals... where they will special order as the new ones come out. Unfortunately I'm not sure who to recommend in that case, because I have not had any purchases from any of them... u__u;

The older Alpacasso didn't have blush, but it could be all the newer ones do. My little fakie is pink, so I can't tell if she does or not. (She was a gift btw, I would of been able to tell right away compared to my others). Older kind have a different stitching too.

It would be useful to know what series (?) came out and what they look like. I say series for lack of better word. They come out in small series like Play! Color! was bright neon colors. Macaroon was one of the first soft pastels. Gorgeous has llamas and they have swirly hair and fancy bows around their neck. I think there was even a soda series @__@~


Give me about a week when I get the new ones, and I'll write something up about what I think. ^///^; I think maybe there is a difference with the stitching. But the older ones had different stitching too. Like my smaller fakie has stitching like - - - - - - -  While the real ones have solid stitching like _____ I don't know names of stitching so I suck. And the newer big ones have fancy embroidery stitching, while the older ones had a single string. ^///^ So I wanna wait until I get the lot of random mixed ones-- so I can say something wise.

Artist alpaca... with a tiny beret... and nerdtastic glasses... NEED SO BAD!!!!! I have a HUGE weakness towards anything cute and artsy-related, and this has both @_@.

I personally am a sucker for light green ones, the llamas, and I really want a sleeping one. u__u; I also had a bright orange one, he was my first one... and I think either I sold him or lost him. ;__; can't find him anywhere. I'd be in trouble if they had an icecream set.
