Anyone in UK tried Asda Click and Collect for Blind Bag ponies?
« on: October 02, 2012, 03:37:27 PM »
I just saw on the Asda website that they have the blind bag ponies available for Click and Collect but I'm wondering if I were to order 24 would I get a whole box... has anyone tried this before?

Wish I had a helpful answer for you, but I didn't even know ASDA had blind bag ponies in stock, so it's news to me.  Will have to go check it out.

Because they are selling them individually rather than in boxes there is no guarantee - yes, to us it makes sense but they may simply open boxes as click and collect requests happen. So if someone ordered 6 and the next person 4 then you come and order 24, the warehouse staff may simply send a 24 pack or they may have to send out 14 from the open box and 10 from a new open. With a supermarket like Asda who knows. *eye roll at their logic sometimes*

If your local store doesnt carry the product you probably have a better bet of getting a complete box as if the store has some in stock they may simply be sent enough to make up your order rather than a complete set.

But it is click and collect so if you dont wish the product when you see it you could always ask for a refund.

There's no Asda that I can get to easily... but on the way to PonyCon I get to pass one near my brother's :) I was going to try click and collect but they take 2 days to get to the store so I might just as well have a look myself.

I understand the supermarket logic :) I wondered if anyone had tried.  Maybe if people need them and their store doesn't have them this might help someone :)

I think its an awesome idea...and probably a great way to get them if you cant get to a store locally. As you say who knows with a supermarket though...hopefully someone is brave enough to give it a try!

I managed to get another 12 so I just need six to finish the set.  Perhaps if asda do the next set of blind bags ill give click and collect a try.

On the same topic I spotted a poster in toys r us saying something about "order online collect in store" but I didn't get a chance to read it.

Are they wave 3 bags? One of my local supermarkets tends to have them and I can pass it on the way home - if you want me to keep an eye out let me know :)
