Where have YOU found ponies?

I was at our local Share Shed on the weekend (it's exactly as it sounds. A 20X20 foot unmanned shed where people dump anything they don't want for someone else to come take- it works wonders for the community!) and I was just snooping at the stuff, and I found 2 McDonalds ponies! A G4 Rarity and a G3 Minty. Score! My hubby laughed. "You just CAN'T resist, can you?" 

A few years back in the winter, mom and I were taking our garbage to the dump and mom say a little piece of pink sticking out of the snow. So she dug it up, and found a G3 Pinkie Pie! Dirty with gungy hair, but nothing some love couldn't fix.

Oh, and once, my brother was biking him from work through a trail, and found a G3 pony in the leaves there too!

It's always nice finding ponies and giving them second chances.

Defintely how I feel about buying ponies from our local Fleamarket. I take the time,clean them up,fix their hair. and get them settled in. feels good giving them a second chance.

I couldn't believe it! Probably the best package I've ever gotten in the mail! I would have loved to find them myself, though, so I'm hoping I haven't used up all my pony luck and maybe it will still happen!

Was walking home from school a few years ago, spotted a garbage can with a couple of strangely familiar light green feet sticking out...
It was a G2 Copper Glow At the time I was convinced that if someone saw me fishing out something of their trash they would have been mad, so I tried to be veeery discreet. It didn't work, I'm sure I must have looked hilarious.

This is a second-hand tale, but I know my friend's mom fished one out of the lake.  (I think she was a McD's G3).  She was cleaned up and is much loved now.

My dad once bought a Sharptooth puppet for me from a garage sale.  When he handed it to me, I tried to put my hand in it and discovered... Baby Cotton Candy!  Absolutely mint with the brightest pink hair I've ever seen.  Guess Sharptooth got hungry

My dad has found ponies in the trash too.  Fortunately, they put the play sets in clear trash bags, so Dad knew to go through everything. I got two Dream Castles, a Show Stable, Perm Shoppe, Lullaby Nursery, tons of accessories, and Baby North Star.

I found one petite pony on the sidewalk at school as a kid (still have her!) and one petite in a flea market. Since the pony didn't have a price, the cashier just gave her to me!

My ex once found a Dainty Dahlia in a car at a scrap yard. He brought her home for me after the guys working there said he could just take her. I still have her and even though she's hard as a rock and very gray in color, she's a permanent part of my herd. My best find is a set of G1 lacing cards that were mixed in with a big pack of non-pony stickers and card stock. I didn't even know they were there! lol

Ditto!  I'm seeing bright clean ponies with original curls!  I'm so glad they didn't end up in the dump.  Even if they didn't want the trouble of throwing them on ebay, at least donate them!

A while ago, I spotted a pony sitting on a mailbox.  I drove by 3 times to make sure I wasn't hallucinating!  I asked the man if it belonged to him, her told me to take it.  Woot woot, mailbox Strawberry Reef!
