I'm not worried about about the style being true to the generation. Last swap I did my partner did Posey in the G4 style and it was adorable (looked a lot like Fluttershy lol)
My pony art style is sort of a mix between G1 and G3. I use my coloring books for referance

I've had a busy work weekend and all kinds of appointments and homework so I haven't started mine other than to do a quick idea sketch on my lecture notes

Went to Michael's today and couldn't find individual trading card sleeves. I did find tiny ziploc bags that are the perfect size, though! Hopefully I'll get to mail them either during the week or over the weekend!

another trick you can use is those quarter machines you get big stickers and tattoos out of, they have those thin cardboard folded white boards over them.. .those should fit over atcs also. =] just another fun idea. =]
