UK ponies, please help!
« on: September 29, 2012, 08:08:35 AM »
My sister-in-law is coming for a visit and said she'd bring me some UK pony goodies.  Can anyone tell me where she might be able to get the ride along set with RD and Skywishes (hope the set is still around) and some of the little barrettes?  She lives in Cardiff.   :whoa:

As far as I know, we never got any of the euro exclusive ponies in the UK? The only place I've ever heard of having any is TK Maxx but I never actually saw any of them myself. :(

We didnt get the SkyWishes set unfortunately - the only international exclusives we got on a very limited basis in TK Maxx was Daisy Dreams and Rainbow Flash.

The barrettes have been in H&M - I am sure there will be at least one of them in Cardiff.

There's that slumber set with AJ and a baby pony. I know I picked that up for quite a few US people. It's available in John Lewis.
Also the pound shops are really good for merchandise at the moment. And ASDA has the blind bags.

I didn't see anything in John Lewis the last time I went in. You can get the hairclips in H&M still, there are two in Cardiff so she might have to look in both as they had a lot fewer the last time I was in there.

The place here with the most ponies is the Entertainer, but I'm not sure about those specific ones...

Thanks for asking the question, RedLynx!  I have no idea where to find pony merchandise in this country apart from the big stores like Tesco or ASDA, and there's usually nothing too thrilling there.  I have never heard of the Entertainer... is it an England-only shop?

England only I am afraid for the Entertainer.

It depends how far you want to travel - there is a Smyths out at Central RP in Falkirk and Fort Kinnaird in Edinburgh they usually have some kind of ponies in stock. The other option are Toymasters, I know there is one of those in Cuper but those are hit and miss for ponies to be honest.

Thanks, Cat.  Now, are these all ponies from the current gen?  I've never heard of Smyths are Toymasters, which is why I ask.  Also, do you know of any great places to find G1 - G3 ponies?

The retailers are all G4 - and you ll also normally luck on something G4 in TK Maxx.

For earlier gens - car boot sales and charity shops are the best chance you are going to get.

<<sighs>> I was afraid you were going to say that, lol. ;) I don't know about you, but charity shops and car boot sales in my area are very hit and miss (and mostly miss, haha).
