actly.. i  know  people that  do this sort of hting. but not with ponys. with other high value objects. they'll have like..  a cord or soemthing.  that doesnt work.. then buy a  brand new one..   go home take out the  the cord or whatver replace it withthe one that doesnt work then return it to the store and get a refund.  they did it with  power cords.   toolboxes.   other things..  but oy. ponys?

I have had it happen with a Beswick Beatrix Potter figure, though the one they returned was worth way more then the one they stole.  Also have heard it happen with an old G1 stuck in a G3 box.  So sadly it is nothing new.  I have also seen them just steal the item they want out and leave the rest.  Stinks working retail, sometimes it makes you not like people as whole.
