On the fuzzy so soft ponies, make sure to use cold water. I use a toothbrush and regular dish soap with an old toothbrush and gently scrub the flocking.

Do you guys use a magic eraser instead of soap and water, or in addition to it?

Same here, I've never found anything else as effective as magic eraser!
I use it instead of soap and water, it removes marks far better than soap and water.

I am against gluing heads back on, personally. There isn't a need to.

I use a magic eraser for marks that don't come off with soap and a damp rag. Make sure you don't scrub eyes or symbols (any paint) because the eraser can damage it!
