Yeah, they made a few of those bird-drawn carriages.  A video of the commercial featuring Rarity's made it onto YouTube, where you can see they were meant to tow Breezies in their flower cars.

I love how there's a mechanism that makes each bird rise and fall as the wheels turn, to strengthen the illusion that the birdies are pulling the carriage hard and fluctuating in their amount of lift.

I noticed in the Princess Promenade preview, they had a different version of "A Princess Is In Town" and didn't mention Spike at all; either he was meant to be a surprise, or a late addition to the planning.

You're right, I don't believe there was any "Hooray!" in the movie's song.  But I really doubt that Spike wouldn't have been in the story by the time they made that preview, considering how important he was to everything.  I think it's more that they wanted to emphasize the mystery and not make the story sound too complicated--which is very different from Paramount's preview of A Very Minty Christmas, where they gave away almost the entire plot.  (Or what I said once: Didn't make a toy of you, so UNIMPORTANT!)

It also asked if you could guess who the princess is, and had a shot of Minty and Star Catcher together.

Say, weren't these two of the ponies who were invited onto the float at the end of The Princess Promenade, only to find that the Breezies had run out of complete outfits and had to make do with just a sheet and a necklace?

No, wait, no, that can't be Star Catcher.  That must obviously be Stark Atcher, ordinary Earth Pony citizen, and definitely not some opportunistic Pegasus looking to usurp power in Ponyville!
 
Well, at any rate, she's the one to whom Rainbow Dash says "You look divine, my dear" during the song.

And some sharp-eyed viewers have informed me that in this shot, as many as three Pegasus Ponies can be seen, although they tend to blend in with the Breezies flying in due to the lack of perspective.

Now here's one of my favorite shots from that movie: The Panorama of Failure.

Cotton Candy dumps faux cotton candy on herself, Moondancer dangles helplessly, Twinkle Twirl and Daffidazey try to balance a candy cane-sunflower-speedboat theme (?)...  And is that Kimono or SkyWishes on the far right?  I was never good at distinguishing pinkish-purple from purplish-pink, but I hadn't seen either of them in animated Ponyville in a while.

But the best part has to be Pinkie Pie and Minty, who look as though they've been nowhere near working on a float for the past hour.  Instead they're just sitting on the ground, staring wide-eyed and slack-jawed at each other in disbelief, occasionally twitching a tail.

About the only thing better was the face they made in A Very Minty Christmas when they looked up to see Thistle Whistle rescued:

And I see that their clouds are shaped like butterflies!  Such strange clouds in this iteration of Ponyland.

Those are some strange clouds they pass, shaped like a snowman and a cupcake or top...?  And is that a giant boot with a gift sticking out of it in the right of the foreground?  The foreground may have gotten a bit messed up with this technique I used to stitch together different screenshots to make this wider picture.

Nice eye!!  In the world of My Little Pony (and reused animation), anything is possible!

Oh, I hope you'll put up Supervillain!Kimono as well . . .
