Ditzy Doo contest through Hot Topic on Facebook!

I hate how every contest requires a Facebook account anymore. I don't have a FB account, nor do I want one and it's not fair to people like me. I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't like Facebook.

AGREED. Companies just use these types of promotions to get more people to Like them, because that way people will be seeing their advertisements EVERY time they're on Facebook. Companies want to shove their advertising down our throats, and this is the hot new way to do it.

After you like it you can choose not to see posts in your news feed.  Just pan over the like button and uncheck "show in news feed" in the menu that pops up.  That way you can still be eligible for the contest without having to see their posts.

I don't like how a lot of things are Facebook-only contests either. Same with how some companies are doing a "Tumblr-only" or "Twitter-only" contests/giveaways . D:
I'm not too keen on Facebook but sadly it's now the easiest way (for me, at least) to get a hold of or contact some people nowadays. But at least it gives me a way to get in touch with people I haven't personally seen in years.

why the h@ll did hasbro give hot topic 14 of these, instead of, I don't know, giving them to the fair or comic con or on their website? Gee an event exclusive available through hot topic? this smells foul.

It makes sense to me, since Hot Topic does sell MLP stuff (which I believe is generally a hit in the stores, especially the shirts). So why not team up with a popular store that sells your merchandise and give them stuff to use for a giveaway, especially if it's an item that a lot of MLP fans want?
These type of contests happen often, although it is a bummer (in a way) that it's a Comic-Con exclusive that's being given away.

Yup, totally agree here. I'd even pay really expensive shipping just to get her if I'd win. I guess it's too much of a hassle for them. Understandable, but it's still a bummer.
