So at first I thought I was going to be getting my safari gear on to be a butterfly hunter - and kids were going to be butterflies... until my eldest saw this:

and now wants to be a flying fox... OK :-/ this is gonna be a fast paced month and a half!

dunno if my other kids are gonna change their minds

How cute! I love it when family's all coordinate their outfits, or even just group outfits among friends

It's been years since I've dressed up since I don't celebrate Halloween much anymore, but about a week ago I decided that I AM going to dress up as Donatello from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles this year. He's my favorite turtle, and who doesn't want to be a ninja on Halloween? It's going to be tricky since many female costumes for the Turtles are really sexy, which I don't want, but I also don't want a big, bulky, more accurate costume either. So it'll take some thought. I would love it if I had a group of friends to dress up as the other turtles and Master Splinter with me...but alas, I would be fine with even ONE friend to be my Raphael. No dice though.

Dunno but I found this scary unicorn hat at Once Upon a Child for $2 and had to buy it. Its truely terrifying in real life. Like Totsy fakie gonna-eat-your-face stare.

I'm thinking about being a Pokemon researcher again this year. I had my Kanto badges professionally made and I crocheted the joltik on my shoulder. Got the lab coat second-hand and made my own trainer card to show off.

I'm either going with my gypsy costume from last year or I will wear my dirndl.  Depends on what kind of Halloween we have.  Staying at home, I will likely opt for the dirndl with a more modest hemline in case we get trick-or-treaters.  If we go out downtown (never done it, but it could be fun), I will go with the Gypsy outfit, since it's a little more appropriate for the night life.

My husband and I don't usually dress up for halloween (but we do for the renaissance Festival). My 2 1/2 year old is going to be one of the TMNT for halloween. I'm going to do the outfit myself but havn't decided if I am doing paper mache for his shell or if he is going to wear my authentic turtle shell purse that I carry to the Ren Fest. I am going to make him a Splinter to carry. We'll see how it goes. If he does use my real turtle shell, I will have to decide how to attach straps for his back.

And for Kruzer (my black and white guinea pig) I am going to find/make a police cruiser light bar for him to wear as a hat... I don't know about the others yet!

I'm always thinking of halloween XP however I don't dress up anymore nor do I really do anything. I do search through halloween sections constantly, then again thats for decorations for my room all year and also accessories for myself. Being gothic-ish makes halloween the best time of year to buy stuff! lol

However if I see monster high wigs for adults in the store I may end up getting one or two o.o They are so pretty and I love the MH hair styles anyway, it would be tempting to try and make my own version of a doll costume. Like do a theme they hadn't done yet with using the basic monster high wig and such....okay now I've tempted myself to dress up for halloween lol

I'm planning on making an Ironette costume for comic con this year (first weekend in November) and hopefully it'll be ready by halloween so I can wear it if I partake in any halloween events with friends
Ironettes are the girls who dance at the beginning of Iron Man 2!

Halloween is my favorite holiday, so of course I'll dress up. Going as the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp version), costume from last year. With a few extra add ons, really need a decent hat.

Doing the whole decorate the house (a friends) and we'll hand out candy to the little kids. Her father will probably dress up and scare the heck out of said kids. No worries, he always removed his mask afterwards, to show them.
