Since Harpeas wings aren't a part of her arms I will continue my Idea of making a Harpea out of a Cleo doll.

But Harpy CAM will turn into Harpeas Cousin; Beacky

Can someone please explain to me how you use CAMs? 

You just buy them and put them together yourself. ^_^ It's a way for MH to make new characters without having to flesh them out at all, basically.

These new CAMs are so neat!! I like the wings on the arms and tail instead of legs but I'd also like to switch em out! (Future sig characters please  )

I also am attracted to those wigs, if they are anything like that when produced: omgosh, yay! They look so smooth and wonderful

mg, these are so amazing!! I'm a bit disappointed that the Harpy isn't the one from the webisodes, but the designs for both of these is amazing! I'm really impressed with the variations Mattel has been introducing into the line; boys, the upcoming clear bodies, unique hair pieces and now these.

I'm not too concerned with the torso thing; I'm pretty sure Mattel will release another torso pack. Hopefully soon, because I still haven't opened up my Puma boy.

Can someone please explain to me how you use CAMs? 

Imagine if you could take apart a regular MH doll, and then put it together again. That's pretty much it. You use wigs, since they aren't rooted, and unlike regular MH dolls, every limb comes off. The original concept was that you could mix and match the pieces, but most older collectors prefer for all the pieces to match. They don't have names or "official" personalities, so they can really be whoever you want. Hope that helps!

Really liking these new CAMs! Although I do wish that the Harpy came with some "back wings", I do like how she has "arm wings". So I'm happy either way! My friend that LOVES mermaids is totally going to get a kick out of the Siren pack.

How in God's name have they not made an alien yet? Like, when I think of monsters...aliens definitely come to mind, yet they have made three hundred catgirls and werewolves.

I made her skirt myself ^^ The sash behind her is a large bow.

What I have on her so far is that....

Style-  She's a flashy and bold ghoul who loves the color purple!

Personality- She has a fierce and devious personality, and thinks of school as a runway to showcase herself. She is loud, in your face, and doesn't make friends easily. The people she does befriend however, she lets very close to her and will let them see her with all her defenses down. To her friends, she's kind, loyal, and fiercely protective. To everyone else however....? She's not so nice

Freaky Flaw- She outwardly chastises other ghouls for relying on hair to make them beautiful, boasting that a real beauty doesn't need it to look fabulous! She does this because her alien species doesn't have hair, and she's secretly jealous of girls who have long luxurious hair. She's extremely vain and obsesses over her clothes and make up to try to 'make up' for her lack of hair.

So much to comment on:

I bet the Harpy only comes with one set of hands.  I think the hands come off the forearms and the wings slip on like braclets.  Probably another prototype pic slip up.  If I'm guessing correctly, that means you could put the wings on just about any doll!  Cool!

I'd like some thoughts on how that crazy tail would attach to a torso?????  Anyone?

I wonder if the reason they didn't use the Harpy from the webisodes as a model for the CAM is because they plan on using her for a Signature release down the line?  A girl can dream...

When I try to explain CAMs to people, I describe them being like Legos:)  A pile of body parts you can use to build any sort of doll you'd like.  Most collectors just put them together so that all the body parts match, but in theory you could make a skeletal, sea monster, with insect wings, snakes for hair, and three eyes!

Can't wait!

I looove these CaMs. Oh my. Definitely getting both new starter packs too now, and I'm already figuring out how I'm going to rearrange them with my current CaMs to get the best body matches for everydolly Whee!
