Some questions on G1 Princess Baby Buggy...
« on: September 11, 2012, 07:11:26 AM »
Before I leave feedback or contact the seller, I wanted to see what you guys all think. I ordered a Princess Baby Buggy off e-bay. Here's the auction pic:

I thought the buggy came with silver lace? I'm very confused, & I guess I should have looked at the pictures more closely before putting in my bids, but... SHINEY! The thing is, I have no idea how these things were packaged etc. The lace on this buggy is stuck on, but if it were replacement lace I would expect some messy glue spots. There are none, it's very clean all the way around. Was the lace done like this on either version? Any help or info at all would be very appreciated <3

Looks like Lace from Cuddles' Buggy to me - the lace on the Princess Buggy is silvery and elastic - not glued on.

Yeah, thats not her ribbon in her tail either, but it does look very nice! Her ribbon was actually a puffy piece of silvery lace. I think its nice they replaced the lace for you, but I don't like the fact that they glued it to the buggy. Did the auction description say anything about it being 'restored?'

Ouch! I am guessing the seller did not know.

The pony did not come with the auction, the auction for the pony was separate and did mention the new ribbon.

Maybe a previous owner tried to spruce it up a little bit, using what they had?  If they really didn't know then you can hardly blame them.  At least it comes with lace and a tail ribbon!  :)

Yes unfortunately that looks like Cuddles lace on the buggy - the seller does sell a lot of MLP items, so I would think they should have been aware of the difference but unfortunately it is apparent from the auction image that the lace is incorrect :( Neither buggy lace was glued on both are elasticated around the parasol and around the carriage.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

This seller has nice ponies (I've bought a few and have been pretty happy) but some have small flaws that aren't mentioned in the auctions.  And I've also noticed accessory mix ups in some auctions.  At first I was a little sad when I was just barely outbid for a complete NM TAF Megan & Sundance.  Then later I looked at the auction pics again (moping) and noticed that Megan's shoes and underwear were wrong; they came with the original version, not the TAF one.  Then I was glad I had been outbid.

At least the magenta metallic ribbon on the top of your carriage is correct.  :)
Nirvana grails:  Reverse Gusty (upgrade), Peru Windy and Moonstone (upgrade), Brazil TAF upgrades, Argie Powder w/ white hair (upgrade), French Windy and Moondancer (upgrades), Spain TAF's, TE's, and piggies.  These are my biggest wants, but I'm looking for tons more nirvanas, especially Greeks, Brazilians, and Peruvians.  Feel free to PM me for sales or trades.  But please note that I'm also fairly picky.

Yep that's the regular baby buggy lace all right... silly seller.
Here's what the lace looks like... (however that is not original tail ribbon for baby)

Well, on the up side, the carriage still looks great with the lace on it whether it's original or not :D

Thank you all :) It really does look pretty, & is in great shape. Would anyone happen to have close up pics of the correct lace, so I can really see the pattern. I'd like to get something that looks at least close if I can't come accross the original one's.

Even if she didn't know about the difference in the lace, I think she should have mentioned it was glued on.
