New Hobbies

With the huge fan base causing pony prices to go up, anyone else pick up a new affordable hobby? I myself picked up Vinyl collecting. Everything I own so far I already owned in mp3 for the most part. A few albums picked up for laughs, some of the album art is so crazy!

I love my new hobby, I'm rather clueless about it... feel like a hipster kinda I already had the 'glasses'   It brings back fond memories of the record/books for children I used to have. I'm most after Robin Williams stand up that hasn't been released on anything but vinyl or cassette tape. Someday... its rather easy to find cheap online. I'm holding out for thrift store luck due to I'm watching my budget right now.

The descent into doll madness is waiting for you! I put it off about as long as I could, but I'm so glad I caved. My only gripe is that now I am interested in all kinds of dolls, not just MH! So, you know, be ready for that possibility (doesn't seem to be an imminent issue, I'm just insane).

I've picked up dolls and Nendoroids. Hardly "affordable" new hobbies, but they'll do. Have been thinking on going back to Pokémon, but that won't be until after I find some work.

I kind of collect vinyls.  I like when they release current albums on vinyl.  I bought HIM's Screamworks, Alice Cooper's newest one, and Slipknot's newest one on vinyl.  I do look through old vinyls when I come across them, but I haven't found anything interesting yet.  If I could find Led Zepplin, The Beatles, The Doors, etc., on vinyl, I'd be happy.

I actually recently started collecting vinyls as well. I've wanted to for a long time, and my best friend has given me the final encouragement I need.
So far my "collection" consists of only five albums (Footloose, The Ghost The Carried Us away, Glow In The Dark Safari Set, Good News for People Who Love Bad News and a classical album), but I just ordered myself the latest re-pressing of Blood Lust by Uncle Acid and the deadbeats! I'm so excited for it to get here. I wish I would have held out to get the clear/purple splattered one, but, maybe around Christmas time I'll have the money for one. c: And, a lady is giving me a bunch of older records free! ^-^

Podcasting! I'm podcasting about my favorite tv show with my partner. It's SO fun and its something for us to do together.

I only have to pay for a mic once, LOL! And the books to help me are available used cheap.  Way better than pony prices!

I've been finding a lot of my favorite albums at thrift stores, been getting really lucky! The newest album I got was Against Me! and even that was under 10. Tommy by The Who for 7. It's been really fun so far! I have a lot to learn, the wishlist keeps getting bigger!

I wanna do scrapbooking, but haven't really started yet. Other than that, books. I finish 1 book per week at the moment. Although that is not really cheap either.

Do collecting shinies count? I love getting new pretty things of any type, whether it be jewelry or a cute teacup and saucer. I wish I had more room for it all.

Vinyl is awesome 
I've been buying it since I was about 15 (which depressingly enough was 7 years ago ) - mainly prog and other 70s rock, but also fun 80s pop stuff. I would buy more, but for some reason there aren't as many affordable vinyl stores in Germany as there were where I used to live in England..
