I'm really loving the tan skin.  It doesn't look that dark until you put it next to a white-skinned doll, then they are DARK.  But I think I'll have the faceup artist put freckles on both of them (I adore freckles on dolls, 4/6 of my girls will have freckles once these two are painted).

ZennaBug, your new dolls are both adorable!  I love seeing more of the tan resin...I have my first tan doll on layaway now and I can't wait to get him.  He's light tan, so not quite as dark, but he's my first that's not normal or white skin...or blue/violet, lol.

crazykimochi - Zephii is beautiful, as always!  I love her new eye mod!  I am totally in love with the vamp Chloe...makes me want to get fangs modded onto my Chloe, since the actual vamp head is so htf, haha.

These are my first darker dolls too, barb.    My Dalsoo and Beyla are both super white, my Unicorn Molly is normal skin, and my B&G Aurora is a yellowish skin.  These two look really dark next to the others, but it's fun to have a little diversity in the family.    Can't wait to see yours!

Crazy, Zephii looks amazing.  She's such a pretty doll!

So she's not my doll, but I have to share.  My mom went with me to DDE today and found a $5 clearance wig that would fit her Pong Pong.  After we decided to get the leopard suit for my PKF, we asked to see the Pukipuki sized one too and Kaley brought out that AND a little reindeer outfit!  It was too perfect to leave behind and my mom texted me this pic when she got home:

I love it too. She had dolls as a kid and her mom gave them all away as she grew up (guess when you have 8 kids, you aren't terribly sentimental about the toys so much as practical about space). When mom came over, I would always find my BJDs in new poses after she left lol. So for her birthday this year, I bought Pong Pong for her so she'd have a doll of her own. She's come to a meet with me since and now she has the Juri head too. She's the only one in my family who knows what my dolls cost because she's the only one who won't commit me for it hahahaha.

Okay, dolly friends. I need faceup artist suggestions. I'm hoping to snag a spot with Eludys because I used her before and love her work, but she's got a really long list right now. So depending on my level of patience I might need to find someone else if they have an opening sooner. Who do you guys use?

Eludys did Amber's face. Brooke was painted by Xhanthi and she is stunning, but Xhanthi is really hard to commission because she's so popular. I'm planning on going to her for my current 2 blank dolls though, so I may be in for a long wait.

I really really like this head sculpt (especially from the faceup pictures on Luts website, http://dec712241.gdreamweb.com/shop/step1.php?number=7804&b_code=B20101202054047 kind of regretting not ordering faceup but I didnt want to hold up the order) but I just... I never really wanted an SD size doll. I'm torn with what to do with him now!

I can see why you wouldn't know what to do ND. With the right face up he is gorgeous. If you don't wanna start collecting SD size you could sell him on to someone and use the money for the face up for your girl and other things.

I use Familiar Stranger   She did the faceup for my Cecily, Silverwolf, Ethan, Emmett, BB, Lily, and Risa...and she is currently in possession of my Resinsoul Rong head and my Dollshe Hound head, lol.  And she'll get my Quintus and my Song when they arrive from DDE as well

I'm a fan....you can check out her flickr to see her work.  I love that she can do fantasy faceups as well as super-realistic faces and body blushing.
