Ball Jointed Doll Thread? I wanna see your BJDS!

So I'm super new to BJDs and know pretty much nothing...but I've seen a few I like, but where on earth do I get started learning about them?!  And if I request pics, would those of you who own those certain dolls be willing to take some for me?

I would have taken some of Amber, but I honestly really hate her wig.  Ugh.  It's too unruly.  I need to go and get her a new one so I can take some pics of her that I actually like.  And it didn't feel right to put poor Lutra in a tree, since she's an otter lol.  I think I'm going to try to set up something cute with rocks and water and get some otter-y pics.

Yep.  She's a SOOM Beyla.  I have her full human set, plus her hooves.  The only thing I'm missing (besides her stock outfit) is her unicorn head, which is why I commissioned the horn for her.    Her faceup and hoof blushing are by Andreja, commissioned by her first owner.

That's awesome! I've been looking for a hooved doll for a while, but I haven't really found anything yet (I've totally considered getting my FL PP Flora the hooved feetsies since I can't find shoes for her anyway). I like Impldoll's deer body, but apparently its posing is fairly limited due to the back legs not being jointed.

I need to get some group pics of my doll family. I'm on a dolly diet 'cause I've overindulged quite a bit recently, so I'm trying to focus on those I have now and the ones that are incoming. Keep posting those pics! They help satisfy my dolly sweet tooth!
