While I'm out pony shopping or just out and about, it amuses me to sometimes take photos of funny or interesting things I notice. I have been meaning to make a thread so you guys can also be amused!


First off we have this Pinkie Pie bubble maker I found at TRU. I don't know why, but this product just cracks me up. You pull the lever and her head pops up and bubbles come out of her neck. o.0 If you read the back of the box it says bubbles shoot out of her mouth, but that is clearly not the case lol.

This T-shirt is adorable! I saw it in Macy's. Totally didn't expect to see MLP merchandise in a store like that!

Brony sighting at the movie theater! This was an interactive display set up for that 'end of the world' movie that came out a couple months ago, a giant chalk board with lines where you can write what you would do if the world was ending in 3 weeks. Someone wrote "watch MLP Friendship is Magic on the Hub"!

Because they don't package her with her trademark hat?  Really, who would be a fan of Applejack but not a fan of Applejack's hat?

If they made/packaged the mane six with RELEVANT accessories I would buy them all again. AJ with her hat? Fluttershy with Angel? Rarity with her adorable red readers, and Opal? Twilight Sparkle with some tiny books? Pinkie Pie with Gummy?

It's like they barely realize the toys and the show are supposed to tie in together.

That's because two totally different departments work on the TV show and the toys.    I'm sure the toy creators watch the show but I am sure they are not focusing in on the details much - they give kids what they think they want, and can convince friends and loved ones to purchase.

Applejack is the least popular of the main six characters in FiM, and even has the least screen time out of all of them! I'd assume that explains why there are so many of her toys on the shelf. :B

Yes but the show is about raising awareness and promoting the "need" to buy ponies - there never has been a massive link up between cartoon and toy line.

Also I have to say Fluttershy DID come with Angel, both a "yellow bowtie" and a "pink bowtie" version. And Twilight Sparkle comes with a book if you buy her scooter version! lol. Applejack does have a cowboy hat in one of the accessory sets... plus her single came with Winona! While the show and toys are not made to be perfectly interchangeable, Hasbro does a good job to 'nod' to the show sometimes. Rainbow Dash's ride-along scooter comes with a little turtle! Haha that cracked me up.

I've started noticing the pink in everything now. Notice how AJ is packaged with a pink... creature? hedgehog? And her suitcase is red/pinkish. Just saying, they had to throw some pink into everything.... *twilight zone music*

Its My Little Pony after all Pink is only to be expected!

Thats a great point Dragonflitter - while there isnt a wonderful correlation - if you look hard enough you can certainly find some match ups
