Help out Lucy! :)

Hey guys - not sure if many of you check out the Off Topic forum here, but just in case you don't, just want to help out arena member Templeflower by telling you about Lucy - a beautiful Belgian Draft horse who requires surgery on her hoof!!

Amongst items is a portrait I am doing of this gorgeous mare - it's currently in progress (you can see it below! I'm about 2/3 through). Thanks Zenna    Looks like the bidding has gone up to $45 on the piccie, and most of Lucy's surgery costs have been covered through this auction her owners have organised, which is awesome.

There were things I'd love to bid on too, but I just don't have any money (haven't been working due to surgeries and our budget is TIGHT).  I'm glad to hear that her surgery is almost paid for, that is fantastic news.  I love seeing people come together to help out others in need.

Oh wow - thank you so much guys!     It really brightened my day reading those comments just now 

She's all ready to be packaged up and sent off (the piccie, not the horse  ) and the real Lucy I've just learned seems to have got through her surgery well. They've discovered new issues with her hooves, but the good news is that they can now work on rectifying the problems to hopefully have a happy and sound horse.
