I got a box of tiny elastics from the dollar store! There were ~700 in there, and they hold up pretty well for hair styling

I have found those elastics, in multi-color packs, among the baby clothes at Walmart, on an accessories rack.

Like the little teeny ones?  I am still using the rubber bands I got for my braces... 10 years ago.

My WalMart and Target do not carry them Well, they do have a variety pack, but I dont want the larger sizes.

So, buy it and use the smaller sizes? I bought a pack of 250 elastics, in 3 different sizes. It cost be about $2. I may not use the bigger sizes, but there are enough of the small one to last me a year. How many do you really need?

I picked some new tinted clear ones with teeny tiny glitter at Target yesterday; they also had black, which I have used for years and hold up better than the clear ones. Amazon.com definitely has them as well.

The variety packs here that I have seen are around $5. I cannot justify spending that when I won't use two thirds of the package.

Yes, I am a penny pincher. It happens when you live paycheck to paycheck your entire life.  Sorry if I seem to be making a mountain out of a mole hill.
