He's not technically a toy, but  he IS doll-like...!  I LOVE this thing,  I want one for my basement.

It's also a slightly different mannequin.  In one he's looking up, in another, straight ahead.  Someone mentioned there's a girl version too lol

Let me just say she was the newest popular thing the year I was born, xD for some reason my grandpa, who's always spoiled me and loved being the first to own anything "new," bought me this for my first birthday xD obviously I would have been too young to actually play with this doll, story has it that the doll was presented to me and I immediately freaked out. Since it was so expensive it was put away for when I was older, this doll never stopped freaking me out, and it's the root cause of a very big fear of dolls and vintage dolls especially.

If you hadn't read the whole page dedicated to cricket then you may be thinking, well she's not so bad? Welp, she's got a casset tape deck in her back, thats just one thing, I could have delt with that xD, but no when you put one of her special cassettes in, she talks and her mouth and eyes move accordingly. If I remember correctly she's got that kinda high pitched voice you never want to hear late at night while watching scary movies. This doll is really heavy!

I don't know why I still have her, my sister played with her for a while so she's lost Her original clothes, it's crazy how afraid I am of this doll xD.

and that Cricket thing looks/sounds so familiar... i wonder if i ever had one. who knows, i had an unnatural HATRED for toys that talked or made noise. not a fear, just a loathing, pure and simple in its ferocity.

*edit* ...that being said im trying to figure out how to get my talking vintage pony to work... not sure if the batteries are dead or if its just given up the ghost. never checked it and its been in my collection for YEARS. im making an exception to my 'no talking inanimate objects' rule cause i wanna torture the bf with "im pretty! brush my hair!!"
