Favorite picnic foods

I'm taking the bf and puppy on a picnic this week. Nothing fancy, we are just going to see a movie in the park. I would like everything to be finger foods cause that's easier. And nothing too messy. 

So what are you favorite picnic or "on the go" foods?

I just like really easy fresh things on picnic. Watermelon cut on pieces, grapes, strawberrys, blueberrys.. Anything like that, it's simple but oh so tasteful

Sandwiches, hot dogs and chips are good ones, too.

Chocolate finger biscuits! Small yogurts, a little cheese and a few different fruit juices are some of my favourites

I like to bring a loaf of fresh, strong bread - a good sourdough or ciabatta, something that you can tear, hummus, cheeses, maybe some olives and/or pickles (I adore the pickled peppers stuffed with provolone and prosciutto!) and a dried sausage of some sort.
I agree with the fruit suggestion, but I'd go with berries and figs over potentially drippy melon.

I never have gone on a picnic...but maybe bologna sandwiches and peanut butter jelly sandwiches too would be awesome^_^

I just like sandwiches.

I usually take things like sandwiches, chips, and something like cookies. I take the sandwich making stuff with me so my sandwiches don't get all soggy. Don't forget the paper towels/napkins. Half of the time I forget them.

Remember to make sure the watermellon stays cold and doesnt stay in the sun. You can get very sick if you eat some that has..its similar to food poisoning.

Asside from the above, veggie sticks are good too

Vegetables like carrots, broccoli, celery, cauliflower, and a non-dairy dip like hummus or guacamole are favorites of mine.
