Most accessories are a tougher plastic - the key point being they have fewer added plasticisers [they need to be "hard" not "soft" as per pony plastic] therefore they are less likely to break down. They will be fine in little bags even for extended periods But as you say if they are being stored long term there is no harm in making the bags breathable and adding some silica packs to the storage space!Alternatively you can send them to me and I promise to take care of them *evil laugh*
Hi, moonflower!I found three zipper lock bags of accessories (combs, ribbons, pony wear, etc.) in my basement at the beginning of the summer. They would've been there for, oh, about ten years - if not longer. They all look great, feel great, and even smell great (ooo, that pony smell! ). Mind you, it was by happenstance rather than design that they were there, but they still survived totally well. The silica gel packets couldn't hurt, however. I've got to get some new shoes so I can get some packets! Best of luck with your storage endeavours!
Ive never had a problem with that, my accessories have bee in ziplock bags for years.
