I would love to have retro G1.  But if they do that, I really hope that they release them in alternate poses.  I don't really want a remake of a pony that I already have, but if the pony was in a different pose than originally released, then that would make me far more likely to buy it.  If they had done that for the 25th anniversary retro ponies, I think they would have been far more popular with collectors.

Failing that, I wouldn't mind the G1 to G4 thing.  Especially, if they were Rescue at Midnight Castle ponies.  Maybe with a special release dvd with the full special and some extras?

Gosh, I still really hope they consider a G1 "Mane Six" (Twilight, Applejack, Sparkler, Posey, Firefly, Surprise) set done in G4 style.

Was Sparkler really such a major character in G1 stories?  Maybe I'm just having trouble finding many books or things starring her.

Oh! I listed them in particular because they were Lauren Faust's original designs for the mane six (here is an image featuring the original designs!) but couldn't be used due to "copyright issues" or some such.

This makes me sad ;_; Damn Hasbro.. I'm sure you could have "bought back" your old copyrights. Lazy..

I am also interested in when this 30th anniversary is. Would it be sometime this year?

what Hasbro shall trot out for the 30th Birthday of MLP.  I am so hoping for some more retros and maybe even some retro G2 and maybe a fun G3 or two. 

Hasbro Please, PLEASE, PLEASE go back to the G1 style......
There are so many possabilites - I am sure many Arena people would give the ideas for styles and "cutie marks" and themes........what about MORE Boy ponies, what about more modern symbols.....bet we could help out!

She appeared in a couple books, but mostly she gets mentioned because Lauren Faust based Rarity off of her . . . Not due to Sparkler's canon personality, but because like most little kids she made up personalities of her own for all her favorite ponies.

Canon Sparkler wasn't really a diva or fashionista.  More of a packrat who collected trinkets, baubles, and anything shiny.  Come to think of it, she should be the patron pony of collectors!  (Her and G3 Minty, of course.)

Well, I did see a story where she used magic dust to turn a dirty halter into a golden halter.  Maybe that's how they got the saying, "adds sparkle to any outfit!"

I think it would be fun to see some vintage merch - like G1 stickers or cards.

I like the G1 original 6 to G4 ponies idea. Or release more G1 molds like they did ( maybe year 2 rainbows this time.... or boys!!!) . Either one.

What if they made a family (g1) set? Or what if they made Luna's and Celestia's parents using regular G1 girl and boy molds, and Luna and Celestia as G1 babies (< But I totally doubt that would ever happen)

I like these.  And it's not like that was all we got for the 25th.  We got that *and* two sets of retro ponies.  I'm hoping they will do the same for the 30th.  Something for the G4 lovers and also something for the long time fans.

It would be cool if they made TAF babies or adults. Even if they were "new" designs. Like one with hearts on it, and another with sun shines, flowers, leaves or something.

I'm sure it'll be more G4 brony catering, unfortunately. Though they couldn't even plan Bubblecup's release halfway decently so. . . :/ If they planned to screw everyone over with FS Bubblecup to create desire or something stupid like that, my guess is that Hasbro will release a normal sized Bubblecup and some other popular FiM ponies in some expensive set like the Favorites Collection. Or maybe they'll just do that anyways. They've shown that they don't give a crap about MLP collectors as a whole and just want to cash in on FiM being a popular fad right now.

Though honestly, I DON'T want to see any G1/G2/G3 molds used, but especially not G1/G2. With the horrible quality of G4s, I can't imagine they'd be the same no matter the mold. It would be super depressing for me to see brand new G1s/G2s with major mismatch, screwed up paint, dirty bodies, etc. I don't want to see Hasbro do that to my favorite pony gens. Weren't the last ones pretty bad?

But what I'd want to see if Hasbro cared and I trusted them to do a good job is seaponies and Sundance. Some sort of epic release of a new set of ponies and such just for the anniversary. A few packs with one pony as all gens, some small accessory/playset packs (blind bag sized Dream Castle anyone?), and some super special unique anniversary ponies (one of every gen). And then I'd love to see seaponies released for G4 along with an epic movie done by Faust in the style of S1. And while I'm dreaming, I might as well toss in show accurate G4 babies and cute baby accessories. And Sundance everything! New main character! xD
