The girls seem to have turned out lovely. I cannot help but laugh at Ribbon and think of the Joker for some reason. I was sitting here going "Why so serious Ribbon?"

Lovely ponies! For repinking hair I can thoroughly recommend using rit dye, rose coloured. There's a tutorial for it somewhere but it's really very simple. You can use either the liquid or the powder, make up a small bowl with hot water and a little dye and dip the mane and tail in until they reach the desired colour. You have to be a bit careful near the pony as you don't want to hold her body in the dye, and for that you can spoon over the dye/water combo onto the roots of the mane, rather than dipping in right up to her head.

Thank you, everypony!  I've been working hard on them, so here are more updates.  A photo finish for the easiest ones.   The so-softs are gonna take a while, sigh.  Silly Murphy's Law of Flocking, it's always hard to remove when you want it gone, and fragile when you want to preserve it.  Meh.  Anyway, without further ado, here they are, showing off in my new Pretty Parlour (thanks again, Dusky, for the Parlour!).

Hi Sugar.Lightning! Just wanted to let you know ~ I think you must have my username (hellapostalia) confused with someone else... I know absolutely NOTHING about cleaning ponies!!  But you have done a fantastic job ~ they look amazing!!

@ PonyRN:  Believe it or not, that's just really hot water and Oxiclean.  And lots and lots of scrubbing, mostly with popsicle sticks.  The first time I did deflocking, I used my nails (shudder) and broke 'em all.  Not that I have well-manicured nails or anything, but they're usually presentable.  Good job I was on staycation at the time!   But I digress.  In spite of my little tag of 'better ponies through chemistry,' I actually try to get them as spiffy as possible with as little chemical intervention as I can get away with.  Mostly because I'm doing this in a basement with my DS closeby, so I don't want any icky fumes.  I save the tough stuff for the end.

I used to use Oxyclean but I found it kind of rough on their hair. Of course, I was boiling them in a solution of the laundry powder stuff. I switch back and forth from Jasco to acetone or 91% rubbing alcohol. Sometimes there is that one stubborn little spot you just have to try everything on. I do it in the most well-ventilated room in my house but recently have thought about moving to outside because of the fumes.
