At least we seem to be finding more options to temporarily fend off the glue, though! We have three (?) so far that have been tested to be effective for the time being. Of course you should always test a few strands for colourfastness but at least we know all hope isn't lost and we don't have to go run and chop the hair off all our dolls for a full rehair. :P
Just be sure to always use those products in a well ventilated area and wear gloves.

It's true that things like boiling and such to the doll's head would set off the glue sepage but our dolls (most of wave 1 and Rochelle) hair have never been styled with heat in any way....it just happened....I feel bad for my daughter cause she often checks for the glue.....she just goes with it though....it's more me as I don't think kids should have to be playing with greasy-like dolls..... I mean, we really have no idea what kind of glue it is.....I know its non-toxic but still.

As soon as I told Mattel about poeple having to buy products like Goof off and Twin Pines to try to get the glue off, they sent another email requesting me to call asap! I feel bad for complaining as they have been great with the customer service .......but someone's gotta get to the bottom of this darn glue thing! LOL! For me, I love these dolls, but its for my daughter who plays with them.....and she (nor any child) should have to play with them, greasy in all! :P

I totally see where you are coming from! I don't have a kid myself, but I certainly would be hesitant to give my child a doll with greasy hair with no fix! I don't think it's really complaining when it's a legitimate issue that needs to be taken care of, if it goes on long enough it can RUIN the hair on the dolls, and like you said... no child should have to play with a greasy, gross doll.

The manifestation has begun in this one... >=D There's nothing you can do! The tentacles of the MH dollhouse is wrapped around your ankle and there's no possible chance of escape!!

I wish there's way I can check if any of my dolls have the glue seepage but...*looks at all her MiB Dolls*

When you guys talk about the glue seeping through their hair - is it just normal wear on the dolls? or have you done something with their hair (restyled/boiled to straighten it)?? I'm starting to worry about my collection now!

Some of mine had the seepage when I pulled them new out of the box. Its awful! DX ive never seen it before Frankie schools out... Talk about grease monkey! XD And one of my Ghoulias seems to have it awful too... I have 59 dolls to check :( Im worried I may find more! So I haven't looked yet

I hope Dinobuzz gets some information from Mattel that will wash this stuff away. Its sad buying new dolls taking them out of box and immediatly having this kind of hair

Hooray for the tentacles!  :cheer:

I haven't had much trouble with glue seepage myself. My original Home Ick Frankie had it, along with a bum knee that wouldn't bend. Mattel sent me a replacement. My Mad Science Lagoona might have it, but I'm not entirely sure. Her hair isn't sticky or greasy, but it is a bit thin on top and it's shinier up top than the rest of the hair that hangs down her back is.

That picture really is tempting.. The way her hand is placed, those eyes, almost as if she's really trying to tempt me. ;_;

The placement of her hand, seems like: ''You could have this in your hands!''

Congratulations on getting them too!
I hope your dog is doing okay.
Yes....look into their eyes....you needz them... :lmao:

Thankyou  Scooby is snoring on my feet...will spoiler his story as it's OT...
Spoiler
Scooby developed a pot belly over a couple of weeks; yesterday he was cleared of any tumours or actual heart failure :cheer: (he has a heart problem and I was so scared it was getting worse).
I managed to get a urine sample from him this morning, need to get a second one at lunchtime then I'm taking the samples to the vets for some more tests to rule out Cushings etc.

I just wanted to share my collection with y'all :D
